We really need explicit labeling on games that have vulgar language, and extreme gore.

I was letting my nephew play on the site wo is 6 by the way when he spotted game named Oozing Forever. Seems like a fun game huh? Innocent and a great game for a child.

When the opening comes up it says Sh*t and other vulgar words. When I saw those I immediatley turned the screen off because he was trying to read it. It just came to mind that we need these labels on our games so we know what we are getting ourselves into when it comes to the content of the games.

Why are their vulgar words in games without warning when here on the forums we can't say words like that? It makes no sense but all I'm asking for is warning labels on the game like they do in the back of video games with the reason for the label.

And what if I AM playing and there are people in the room who are younger so to speak and I don't want to play anything that would intend such language and violence? How would I know what and what NOT to play?

If what Cholokid says is true, then you should play games that you are certain won't contain profanity or stay off the site. If I wanted to watch a movie that I knew had bad language in it, then I would have to either know what parts to skip, or not watch it at all if I had younger siblings in the room.

More importantly, admins wont fix this problem just because it's been on the front page for 3 days. First, they know what is best for the site. Second, you bumped this thread up by posting in it after it was either on page 2, or close to it. Third, not everyone agrees with this thread. People agreeing does not mean that the idea will be used, but the people who dissagreed with you also bumped this thread up.

Or you can check the warning labels on what the movie has.
Pwnage.

SECOND! You just bumped the thread too.

I think that even though your suposed to be 13 to play on the site, younger children aren't going to go to the rules section of the site and check the age limit, that would be rediculous. I think that when the game is loading there should be a small warning, nothing extreme or anything like that but just a little heads up.
On AddictingGames They warn you win you roll your mouse over the game to select it which is also a good idea.
It's not that important though in my opinion because these days younger children are usually exposed to vulgar language at a younger age anyways. THEY ARE JUST WORDS

Yeah, maybe just a little warning when it's loading, like on Dark Cut 3. Or maybe there should be an Age Rating too, next to the Game Rating? Like people guess what age range should play this game like from 13-15 or 10 and under, etc etc. It wouldn't really be that much trouble. And you might be able(?) to get points for it to give your input on what kids should and shouldn't be playing on AG.

Is there not something odd about that comment....

As said, most of the games on AG are actually not something that needs a warning. There are a few, and most have a warning either in the game, or while loading.
And I think you might be underestimating kids these days.
Just because something is gory, it is not instantly scarring the children. Most know from a low age that if something looks scary from the beginning, it will be scary from the beginning.
They can handle them self.

Where are you mods?!

Doing their jobs.
The people you want to talk with this about is the STAFF, not the mods, because the mods is pretty much regular users with sticks, while the staff is the ones that actually change the site and how it works.
If you want this so badly, send a mail to the staff asking for this, or hope they will notice this some day. Ask Carlie about it.

I'm not talking about games I know are bad. I'm talking about games I don't know that are bad. It is impossible to compare a single movie on which you know and games that you have no idea what they may contain due to NO LABELS.

Yea but I like gore i dont know about the rest of you.
And if u got a tiny bro or sis, and they see it i bet they wont remember it that much. well my nephew wont he's 2.
But I understand how it is.
I think we should have what addictinggames has. not exactly the same but almost. scroll over the game it comes up maybe have the added date, Rating, and more.

Yea, and it's not hard to do either it's just a simple directory code and whatever code makes it popout when you scroll over.
