How do you guys think Obama has done as President so far? I don't think he is doing that great with the economy. His "Stimulis Packages" don't seem to be doing very much.

Not necessarily - just by being there and making decisions, they're representing. I'm not defending those who do a bad job, I'm saying that it's the government running GM and not us because we elect people to represent us. It doesn't matter if they do a good job or not because *we* elected them and *we* can't go back on that decision if *they* do a bad job representing us. It's one of the many flaws in the US government.

Actually they aren't doing things that ANYONE wants. It really isn't about partisanship at this point.
How do I feel about Obama...well he's not doing horribly. Could be a lot worse, but I'm starting to think that the government is going about solving the problems with the economy the wrong way. Granted, I have no idea how to solve it, but neither to they it seems like. Handing out billions of dollars to companies who already proved they can't make enough money to sustain themselves isn't working.
reforming the economy is not an easy task, even the professional economists graduating from top notch ivy leagues are clueless as to what to do about it. Stimulus packages are designed on the principle of "spend money to get money" and as long as the cycle continues, and no inflation or deflation happens in the process, the economy should be on its way to recovery. Obama is only human too.
Keynesian spending has proved pretty useful in ending recessions last I checked.
Why isn't giving money back to the evil corporations working now? Obama's plan is kind of wishy washy, over 60% of GM belongs to the country and whatever is left filed for bankruptcy.
Obama is letting the wolf back into the hen house when he gives billions of dollars to the tottering bourgeoisie! They're just going to rip off the community and start another recession that will haunt us years from now. Let the companies fall! Nationalise 100%!
