Yes, after much mind debate and different forum-jumping, I come to you, my family, my blood, my screen-name brethren that both like the medeival era AND games, into a war that by far may change... nothing at all, actually!
You might be wondering what the heck I'm talking about, and I still don't fully understand it. The overview of it all is in all of 2 words: Furry war.
No, I'm not talking about one of zoph's stories (bad mod joke), but instead an actual interweb flame war that has gone so far for two internet POLITICAL PARTIES.
First party: The Trolls. Basically, they... wlel, they troll. Now trolls aren't even in furrywar only. Trolls are just jackoffs with nothing better to do than to make fun of other people or just verbally assault one another for teh fun of it. Basically, they're e-thugs, because talking smack in person is dangerous.
Second party: Furries. Well, long story short, Zoph is one of them. Though, from what I remember, she doesn't really think of herself as a hardcore furry or anything like that. Furries are generally about tolerance, and having a good time. Least that's what I've gathered from youtubing for an obscene amount of time and getting into a few flame wars myself, I've found I actually support this group purely because they make the most sense.
The war? What's it about? Oh it's simple. Near nothing, of course! It's all just two people yelling at each other. They just have opposing views and what do they do because of it?
Get over them and make love, peace, and overall better the world!
Just kidding, they fight and flame like /b/tards.
Now then, here's my views on the subject from both points of view:
Troll View: Okay, furries are different from me and have different sexual habits..... kay, I watch porn on a daily basis so I really shouldn't care but I do anyways!
Furry View: Trolls are meanies who want nothing but to eff with me, so instead of just ignoring them and reportning them I'll...... FLAME BACK!
Neutral View: well both of the stereotypical sides are pretty much hypocrites. The furries are supposedly supposed to be all about tolerance or something while they don't tolerate the trolls or their habits, and the trolls shun the furries due to their perfectly JUSTIFIED hate for humanity and "erverted" ways. Hey troll, what's that I see in your bookmarks? ... is it... it can't be.... PORN?! YOU SHOULD DIE IN A FIRE ON A STAKE!!!!
Now then, what're your views on the subject? Please be good about this and not just f*ck around, please?

Same as Alt. Very slightly on the furry side, while still remaining neutral. I don't hate thee trolls, I just chuckle at them and move on. But I see no reason to flame back at them.

okay everyone, I'd just like to point out that you are generally focusing on whether or not you are a furry. you don't need to be a furry in order to agree with them.
Besides the quiz, state if you are a furry, troll, or neutral, and then say WHY you are of that party. Otherwise, you're not contributing to the conversation.
Thoad is giving you guys a wrong impression of what a furry is (probably mainly because he's still not fully understanding it himself (and I'd never dare to claim I do)).
General furry traits (as far as I've experienced them) would be stuff like these (and please note that most furries won't agree with all these):
You like animals. Any kind of animals. You like having dogs or cats or rats or fish or whatever as pets. You feel comfortable around animals.
You like wildlife in general. You find the big cats beautiful, or am very impressed by the skills of falcons or the size of elephants, or the grace of horses.
You like to think of yourself as in contact with nature or wildlife or animals in a special way. Maybe you like to imagine yourself as a cunning fox.
You like anthropomorphic animals. Anthropomorphic means "with human traits" (or something like that), and would be things such as a talking rabbit or a humanoid lizard.
You really like the way fur feels (note: if you like wearing fur coats, quite a few furries could potentially get upset with you).
You're open minded. Not all furs are, but most are.
You like to play. Video games, tumbling around with friends, or just generally having a good time. Many furs are rather social (hence fur meetings and conventions).
Since we're on a PG13 site I shall refrain from posting more of these...
Some furs might not even agree with any of those, but still for some reason consider themselves furries.

I think you've stereotyped a bit much in that whole war thing, Thoad. In my opinion trolls should gtfo of the internet and back to their caves (unless they're good at lulz trolling), and everybody should learn to ignore the trolls who they come across.
Uhm... Flite... Did you read the OP, and if so, how does that relate to the argument? Which was pretty "this is how a stereotypical troll behaves, this is how a stereotypical furry behaves, this is how a stereotypical neutral person behaves, which one are you?"
Not the greatest thread... But your post, it confuses me. Unless you just tried to point out that furries spand beyond forum drama while trolls usually ARE forum drama, or something like that.

Trolls are failures, and they do bug me, but, simply put, they're not even worth responding to. I refuse to start a flame war with someone as useless as a troll.

There's young furs too who don't even consider the yiff side of the fandom (logically?). And despite the group's general reputation, there's "clean" furry artists too.
Furry does not necessarily mean into a ton of fetishes and weird kinks. That's a misconception many have because that side of the subculture is so easy to pick on. Just like homosexual stereotypes are mainly based on the "flamingly gay" people.

Fun fact: Furries are no more perverted than other groups of people, they're just more open about it. (Which might cause some people to turn to furry art just because it delivers what they're looking for, even if they'd rather see it with humans than with anthros.)
