I think that Believing in One God automatically says that you don't believe in other Gods. This being said, You can not believe in God, only your God. Thus answering the question, How one could not believe in God.

Now if you want to talk about how you can not believe in a higher power, then you are simply asking everyone to have a faith. I ask you then, show me something to have faith in.

Religion doesn't explain anything. In 2012, when giant waves of destruction crash over our cities and the earth itself splits apart, praying isn't gonna save anyone.

Man,I am so tired of that "World ening in 2012" bit. You guys said the same thing about June 6,2006,and it didn't happen. I wasn't even a tiny bit nervous that day, because I knew nothing would happen. So what if December 12,2012 was the last day on the Mayan calender. They were probably just tired of making calenders. I would be too if I was making calenders 1,000 years in the future.

Polytheist cultures usually take the Gods of other cultures and adds them to there's. So Mars, for example, might have become an Aztech god if the Romans and Aztechs ever met.

However you can't do such things in religions such as Islam, which firmly believe there is one and only one God who rules over all he survays. So that's one way you could not believe in God(s). Another way is if you're an athiest who goes by science and scientific reason rather than what the church and the bible says.

This thread is kind of flaming atheism you know.

And "How can you believe in god" flaming religion.
Now tp answer the post. My answer is: Because people can't study "God" or see him so they resolve he isn't there.

Ok, this is about the seventh time someone has brought up the fact that this thread flames Atheists, and their thread flames the Christians. We are well aware of this fact now

Can we find another topic to discuss? Or better yet, continue to discuss the end of the world, but please, leave the Atheist flaming out of it!
