Dont some of you just get so tired of hearing abou God and how he's gonnna save the world?
then dont listen to the people who believe in it. there are 3 posts on the top page dealing with that topic. you can discuss it there or drop the topic and ignore the threads
If there is a God, he probably doesn't care. Probably doesn't even know that the majority of us here on Earth worship him. What if somewhere there is a planet who worships all of us on Earth?
The only time I am tired of hearing about God is when the religious (By that I mean over the top, feeding it down your throat) type of person won't shut up about it.
They'll continue to smash it down you throat until all you can think about is god. They tell you how the world is going to blow up and how you can't come along if you don't hear what they are saying.
Most of the time, they are just a bunch of bigots and have scams to pull in the cash while Mr. Buckland over there is still waiting for that miracle.
The reason people don't believe in god the first place is because they can't study or see him so they resolve he isn't there.
I use the same principles of logic to debunk psychic phenomina, aliens creating crop circles, and belief in unicorns.
And much to the contrary - people do study 'god'. The Templeton Foundation (religiously affiliated) attempted to study the power of prayer. It didn't work out so well... or perhaps just not in their favour.
I am sick of all of it. What I really hate is how whenever anything good happens in the world it was a work of god or a miracle, but whenever anything bad happens god had nothing to do with it.
I also hate the people who try to shove religion down your throat like Blaze was sayin'.
I read somewhere that like 70% of the people who don't believe in God say that only because he lets bad things happen and because he doesn't answer all their prayers.
If they didn't believe in God they probably wouldn't be praying...
Also, saying that he allows bad things is saying that they believe he exists.
The post is somewhat contradictory Green, but you get the point behind it.
Yes, I do. People believe, or do not believe, in something without legitimate reasons a majority of the time.
An example: We often dislike a person based on one experience with them. That may be all that we've seen of them, but that doesn't mean that they are a negative person. I feel that if we got to know people before judging them, in most cases, we would end up liking them.
I am sick of all of it. What I really hate is how whenever anything good happens in the world it was a work of god or a miracle, but whenever anything bad happens god had nothing to do with it.
People in the hospital who survived a fatal car accident "Oh, Thank You God!"
How about the nurses and doctors? I'm sure they have nothing to do with it =/
