Since I have joined Armorgams . . .I see a lot of Atheists and their threads about why people believe in God etc . . . I wanted to start a thread about the bible and christianity.
The purpose of this thread is to debate a different book of the bible each week. We will discuss lessons, morals, and different stories.
We will have friendly debates. Please . . . if you are atheist or of other beliefs . . . you may discuss in this thread, just PLEASE no fighting, flaming, spamming, trolling . . . etc
This week we will begin from the beginning . . . .Genesis
How does that make my point invalid. My point was that just because many people believe something is true does not make it true. My point was very straightforward.
Ah yes. If that's your point, then I agree with you. However, I would caution you that your point is a double-edged sword because it really can be molded either way: If many people don't believe something, it may still be true. If many people believe for the sake of believing, many people also don't believe for the sake of not believing.
it is mathematically an physically impossible to have held two of every animal on earth along with enough food for all the animals and his family to live off of for 370 days
If Jesus could feed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish, I have no doubt God could help Noah stow two of every animal plus multiply the food for them...excellent statement there, Kirby998.
The Noah story is supernatural, God can do anything and he will save and let die those whom he chooses. There should be no question "Why" or "How" God works, he is supernatural, and because we are natural, we will never fully understand.
He is omnipotent and omnipresent. . . .we will never fully understand the way God is. He works in mysterious ways and you are right kirby, we shouldn't question what we don't fully understand. We don't fully understand God, so we shouldn't question Him =D
Well . . .if Noah's Ark is finished, then we will begin on the story of Joseph . . . unless someone else want to do another story from Genesis. Suggestions are welcome if you feel inclined. It is the story of forgiveness and what happens when you are subservient to God's will. I love how even though Joseph's brothers were jealous of him and tried to kill him almost, he was still able to forgive and love them.
