Flag We can detect attraction by smell. If you think guys skink, and girls smell good, then your Hetero, if you think both smell good, then your Bi, if you think guys smell good, then your gay.
That is not how it works. Most guys do not stink. I do not stink all the time.

If you "turn"... I'd say it's more a question of shifting preference, going from gay to straight or the other way is more likely to mean that you're kinda bi but won't admit to liking both at once... At least that's how I see it. Someone who thought they were gay because they really really really liked someone of the same (or opposite) sex may also at some point realize that they're just not into that (sexually) but just really like the other person. That may or may not end a relationship, depending on how important physical attraction is for them.

But it would be hard to find someone who doesn't smell like some product. Whether it be soap, shampoo, cologne, or perfume we all smell like something man made. So what you're saying may be true, but it's not a practical way to find out if someone is gay or not.
It's to find out if YOUR gay. There is a reason why cologne works, most use a simulated smell. Axe for one uses it and has no problem advertising it. If you don't know what I'm talking about when I say "Smell" you should beable to smell yourself when you are turned on by some one.... or something.

Well it's not 100% but you will definating know if you like some one based on their smell. There are other reason and learned responses, but I have never smelled a guy and liked it, but most girls smell really good ~_^

On the other hand, women going to a gay bar with some gay guy attracts the hetero guys, who goes to the gay bar to score the hetero women, and as these men are in the gay bar, well, the homosexuals have to leave because otherwise they get beaten up by these men. It has happened before that gay bars have become ... bars, simply because the heteros invade it.

That's kinda funny to me, 'cause I like to cling to my close friends because I like the way they smell. Funnily enough my two best friends are my ex girlfriend and a gay guy I used to have a crush on. My life is weird~ I usually don't go around sniffing people, though. I think most of the "smell communication" happens without us really noticing...
