I don't get the point of being homophobic, why hate someone because they find the same sex attractive?

Actually in ANY case of someone hitting on you (whether it's a guy to a guy/girl or a girl to a girl/guy), I'd say there's variants where it's at least understandable that you wanna smack the person. Some people don't know they're coming on way too strong or just don't care (I once got groped on by a random stranger on a train station, no kidding).
That said, no, I don't think it's okay to hit someone because they try to flirt with you, unless they're WAY over the line. And then their gender/orientation doesn't matter.

I was refering to the fact that he said he would hit a homosexual for coming on to him. Just because they're gay.

Just because somebody is homosexual doesn't mean they're bad. .-.

I know somebody that's gay and he is 10x funnier than any straight guy.

Yes, I know. Sorry if my post sounded like I didn't, or like I tried to invalidate your point. Was not intended if it did.

Just like a whole lot of straights are actually rather awful people. Whether you're a good person or not doesn't depend on race, gender or orientation, but on how one acts~

On the other hand, that isn't necessarily because he's gay. :P

Every phobia known to man stems from two things: fear of pain and fear of embarassment. The latter leads in to the former.

how one acts is partially determined on how they grow up. if their growing up had anything to do with their heritage's culture i say there's a connection to race. :]

There was a study done using 2 rats, a male and female. They were given a large cage able to hold 50 rats with daily food able to feed 50 rats.

When they populated to about 100 rats, they started making groups consisting of Gluttons who horded the food, Narcosis who just spend all their time cleaning themvels, and a few other groups seen in modern man, including homosexuallity.

This being said, we can say that Gays exist Naturally and is not a learned response. We can also say that Homosexuality exists in all forms of nature. I conclude it is a way to prevent overpopulation and is triggerd due to your environment at conseption or durring pregnancy.

Homophobia, like most phobias, are usually born out of trama or ignorance.

I'm not homophobic, but I just don't like to get in any kind of contact with them.

Since when is being flirted with the same as "take crap from"?
[/quote]

I was saying, "I'm not gonna take crap from some dude I've never even met." Referring to the dude who was calling me disgusting and unnacepltable in a normal society.

Yeah in this thread since we need to identify what were talking about but talking about gay people like they are some kind of evil group that you can't talk about.
