Alright guys, I'm going to put a lot of thought into this post. Just to stop your freakin' spam.
Here's how the zombie apocalypse will go for me.
I'm sitting at my house, browsing AG at 2 am. The house is empty, as my family is at a concert in another state. Suddenly, I hear a rattling on the window. Cautiously, I rise from my chair wondering what it is. As I peel back the curtain I smell a rechid stench. It reminds me of the thread I just saw on AG...but that's not possible. I look outside my window...and nothing's there.
Back to the computer it is then, when I hear a banging on the door. "Alright, what are these kids doing now?" I think as I approach the door. I get ready to open it when the door explodes open from the force of a mob of zombies. Stunned by fear, I don't react for a second. When I am finally able I sprint to the kitchen and grab a knife. It may not do much against zombies, but it makes me feel more secure. Weapon in hand, I rush to the back door. Fumbling with the lock it takes me a minute to open.
Fresh air rushes in as the zombies approach. I sprint out and jump on my bike, peddling as fast as possible. I'm heading to my best friend Michael's house. Two is better than one when defending against zombies. As I approach the house I notice that there are zombies limping down his street. I have 5 minutes tops. I sprint into his house and shake him awake, while he yells at me for waking him up. "No time to explain! Just get dressed and follow me!" I exclaim.
As we sprint down the stairs I hear the zombies ramming the door. "God dammit!" I yell. We adjust our path of escape so that we can get out the sliding glass door in the kitchen. The zombies are now in the house, and we're doing all we can to get through them. After 10 minutes of intense fighting we are finally able to break through the horde, and we smash through the door and jump off the porch. As we sprint back to the bikes we see zombies coming from the lake, we'll be surrounded soon.
People around us are falling beneath the horde, and shrieks pierce the night. We time our escape while the zombies aren't watching, and are about to jump on the bikes when Michael shows me something. Looks like he stole the keys to the Volkswagen beetle. It may be a fail car, but it will get us through the horde faster than bikes. He jumps in the drivers seat as I clamber into the passengers. "Let's get the hell out of here!!" I yell at him, and he puts it into reverse.
While driving, I explain to him my plan between the sickening thuds of bodies hitting the car. We're heading to Wal-Mart, where everything that we need will be supplied. Before I can finish explaining we come to a sudden stop. A horde of fifty or so zombies has assembled in the path of our car, and more are coming from the sides. "Floor it!!!" I say, and surprised the zombies fall beneath us.
As we arrive at Wal-Mart we notice the lack of zombies. It looks like we'll have time to set up base. We take our time going into the store and chat as we go in. Once in we start securing the place. We stick together, in case of an invasion, and lock every door. We then blocke the door with shopping carts, and spray bug spray and other poison at the entrances. We set up traps we found in the hunting section and spread nails and other things all over the floor.
Once the entrances are secured as well as they can be we search for a personal hideout. We explore the vacant store and find a small office for the manager. We transport all the supplies that we will need into the office, including food, water, guns, machetes, and more traps. We secure the entrance to the office as we did the others, and this time we leave spaces to snipe the oncoming horde. If they come too fast we are also prepared with shot guns.
For weeks we wait in the office, hoping that the zombies may have been stopped. Hoping against hope that they won't find us. On day 14 we hear a noise from across the store. Rattling, like the sound of carts moving. Crashing, like the sound of carts collapsing. Snaps, like the sound of traps being activated. We then see them, a horde of 150 or so zombies have broken through and are coming for us. We start sniping them in the head through the slats we made, and seem to be making progress. However, we're not fast enough and before we know it our defenses are down and the door is being rammed. We stand prepared, shot guns in hand, ready to defend our base. The fight lasts for hours. Our strategic retreat against their ruthless hordes. More are coming by the minute, and we start to devise a plan to get out of there. We rush the zombies, hitting them with everything we've got. Our clothes are torn, blood is pouring, but right when we decide it's over we hear more shots coming. The National Guard has come pouring into the store, and before we know it the horde around us falls.
We rush to their helicopter, and they tell us the story of how humanity has fallen in a mere two weeks. They say that we were lucky to survive, and that had we been in the city and not further out we wouldn't have lasted 2 days. We'll be rushed to an underground bunker with the few other survivors to restart the human race, while specialty forces armed with antidote take care of the zombies. They tell us that within a year it should be safe to come out, but still then there will be corpses to clean up.
Looks like we've just survived the end of the world. 2012, here we come.
