Well, I made this thread because I think I know quite a bit about these two games, StarWars BattleFront 3 and StarWars: The Old Republic.
So people know, StarWars: TOR is an upcoming StarWars MMORPG ( Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), by BioWare, that will be released for PC, and hopefully one of the first MMO's to come onto the PS3 in the near future. It is set in the Old Republic Era, 3'500 thousand years before the actual StarWars movies, and 300 hundred years after StarWars: Knights of the Old Republic game. You get to play as One of the two factions in the game, Sith or Jedi, five classes have been confirmed. There is also one AWESOME trailer of them game, which I think is better than all the movies put together, its called deceived and you should definitely see it. Links:
Now on to StarWars BattleFront 3, well I bet many people know about either SWBF 1 or 2, but people also want to know about 3, well all I can say is that its original founders, Free Radical, have gone into administration and stopped making the game, from what I have read on the net, the rights to the game have either gone to Pandemic or another producer, I can't remember the second but my best guess is with either BioWare or LucasArts. There is also some gameplay footage that has been leaked, you can go t you tube and I bet you could find it easy. Talk about it here if you feel like it, I can answer questions.
I have been playing BattleFront 2 for years and I still whip out my ol' Xbox from time to time just to play a round or two.
Yeh I sometimes get out the ps2 and just have a fun match or two with another person.
I'd also like to see how they introduce storylines and boss battles. It always aggravates me when I kill a boss in a mmorpg just to have him respawn and another person to kill it. Makes me feel like my actions have no effect on the world around me.
TOR will actually have good and evil sides, and fully voiced acting for every NPC in the game, its going to have a great story line, and i know that it's gonna have micro-payments, like any other MMO game, but i doubt its going to be P2P as well. Also they plan on making the games immersion as important as possible.
I was a BIG fan of SWBF and I will defenitly love BF3. I only played KotOR 1 and 2 at a friends house and I love the game. I always wanted to buy one but I could never find one so I just borrow from my friends. If TOR is just as good as KotOR I'll be first one in line to get both TOR and BF3
I kinda leaning towards battlefront 3 because the usual MMORPGs suck besides WoW. Plus my computor sucks and can barely play online multiplayers. If the TOR is equal or better than WoW i will definetly try and play it. The galaxies game didn't work for me so if it is a different creator it better be better.

Seconded! I say battlefront because I'm not big on the MMORPG genre, but I do with I owned the rights to WoW. Anyway I hope the new publisher doesn't mess it up.

Were did you read this about BattleFront 3? If it was going to come out soon then it would of been at E3, or something like that, and i haven't seen any previews besides the leaked old one.
