Well, I made this thread because I think I know quite a bit about these two games, StarWars BattleFront 3 and StarWars: The Old Republic.
So people know, StarWars: TOR is an upcoming StarWars MMORPG ( Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), by BioWare, that will be released for PC, and hopefully one of the first MMO's to come onto the PS3 in the near future. It is set in the Old Republic Era, 3'500 thousand years before the actual StarWars movies, and 300 hundred years after StarWars: Knights of the Old Republic game. You get to play as One of the two factions in the game, Sith or Jedi, five classes have been confirmed. There is also one AWESOME trailer of them game, which I think is better than all the movies put together, its called deceived and you should definitely see it. Links:
Now on to StarWars BattleFront 3, well I bet many people know about either SWBF 1 or 2, but people also want to know about 3, well all I can say is that its original founders, Free Radical, have gone into administration and stopped making the game, from what I have read on the net, the rights to the game have either gone to Pandemic or another producer, I can't remember the second but my best guess is with either BioWare or LucasArts. There is also some gameplay footage that has been leaked, you can go t you tube and I bet you could find it easy. Talk about it here if you feel like it, I can answer questions.
I love the BattleFront series, me and a friend of mine still play #2 quite often. I hope that they will release a third game simply to add more content, change a few things, and put in more hero characters (I'd love to play with Plo Koon)
As for The Old Republic. All I can say about that game is that all my free time is being sucked away while it's development is going on. I love the Old Republic era and I just can't wait to dive into this game. I seriously hope it fares better than SW: Galaxies did though.

Yeh that would be fun lol, also i hope its not P2P like SW: Galaxies. Hopefully they could make a movie of SWTOR like the trailer, that would be the best SW movie ever.
Chances are good it will be. There's so much work going into this MMO I don't think they'd just release it for free play. But honestly most of the more mainstream MMO's nowadays are P2P, and there really isn't anything wrong with that (at least in my opinion). But I suppose I'm in the minority on that.

GOD YES! I'd totally watch it, especially if it was actually set in the Old Republic era. I don't see why they couldn't make a movie like that, but I don't really see it happening anytime soon.

And i would buy it lol, it would be possible to make it though because they cant really go further than Star Wars 6, so they will start from another era.
