This is a rather basic question that I happen to find myself asking sometimes. What is your opinion? State which you think would've come first and give a good reason as to why. I don't know if there has already been a thread on this, but I apologize if there has.
Well, if you look at it from an evolutionary stand point, I would have to first ask, what do you consider a Chicken and what you consider an Egg.
As the egg from other animals existed before the chicken, I'm assuming you mean a chicken egg. Well, if you think about it, by definition, it's not a chicken egg until a chicken lays it. If it was just and egg and no chicken exists yet, then it isn't really a chicken egg then.
If a lizard layed and egg and the first chicken came out, what would you say was first?

Well since there was a chicken inside of the egg before it hatched it's still a chicken egg. Even before the chicken has formed, since it's going to be a chicken, it's a chicken egg.
Creation - The chicken came first, because an egg must be taken care of by the chicken.
Evolution - The Egg. Evolution occures when DNA mutates. Over time, animals with the same dominant mutations will mate (or recesive... different topic). Anyway, what seperates one species from another is it's mutations and change in DNA.
One day, a creature that didn't resemble a chicken eventually evolved into a chicken, one mutation at a time. So who layed the first chicken egg? An animal that was not quite a chicken, but very very close.
So that means that humans with a little genetic advancing through millions of years can become super humans with much more intelligence and strenght, right lol.
evolution shows that we are smarter than our anchestors so in future super powers may be capable in humans
Super powers? I guess if scientists figured out how to create give people them...but I don't think you meant really super powers. Just that in the future we could be stronger.
From an evolutionary standpoint it would depend on What you mean by the egg.
If you mean a chicken egg then obviously the chicken came first.
But if you mean a egg that contains a chicken in it then the egg came first because another animal could "give birth" to a egg that had similarities to a chicken then through millions of years that process would continue with the animal a little different from before untill a near chicken bird "gave birth" to a egg that hatches a chicken
I think what happened was that Two tiny dinosaurs got it on one night without protection. When the mother was pregnant, she smoked. I'm not talking cigarettes, I'm talking the stuff. Coke. Weed. You know the stuff. So, she gave birth to an overweight, vegetarian, autistic, mentally challenged failbird. And yes, I have a link. www.NASA.gov That is my source.
