This same question was posted many months ago... The egg came first. We know because of the process of evolution. Whoever the ancestors of chickens were, through evolution each baby looked closer and closer to a chicken, until we had a chicken

Maybe a dinosaur laid a chicken egg and that's how it all began.

Wow; I knew religion would be dragged into this. I respect your beliefs valkyrie but I still am a firm Christian and a definant believer in God.

i cant say a definite answer i believe in a combination of the 2. that god created certain events that triggered different events like the first microbes to the most advanced species on the planet humans.

p.s. i don't think they were definite events. they can be altered by creatures and humans but to an extent

Well....I believe that certain things evolved from other things...I don't know about the chicken but I do believe other things like turkeys evolved from dinosaurs! True story FYI. And even if you don't believe in God and believe in The Big Bang Theory, then you still have to come up with a theory as to how the stuff to make the Big Bang got there in the first place.

well the big bang theory is that there was a massive build up of gasses and other matter. then an event happened that triggered the explosion of the matter and then the expansion of the universe. there would have to be a space before that to build the matter up so what created that. that's why i believe in both. other examples are the position of the Earth, the first life, and that humans have adapted to the point that i'm typing a message on a keyboard that will be transferred possibly hundreds of miles to your location
