This is a rather basic question that I happen to find myself asking sometimes. What is your opinion? State which you think would've come first and give a good reason as to why. I don't know if there has already been a thread on this, but I apologize if there has.

well the big bang theory is that there was a massive build up of gasses and other matter. then an event happened that triggered the explosion of the matter and then the expansion of the universe. there would have to be a space before that to build the matter up so what created that. that's why i believe in both. other examples are the position of the Earth, the first life, and that humans have adapted to the point that i'm typing a message on a keyboard that will be transferred possibly hundreds of miles to your location

your about four billion years behind the rest of the conversation

The Dinosaur came before the Chicken. And if the theory of evolution is correct, the egg came before the very first chicken.

The egg. Without the egg, there would be no chicken.

It depends what you believe but personally I think that a chicken would have to be first in order to have an egg but I think god had to make the chicken in the first place

A large water fowl named the jungle redfowl laid an egg. Out popped the ancestor of chickens as we know today. So, the chicken did.

jungle redfowl is not a chicken but if it laid a chicken egg then the egg came first....

I find this topic to be kind of funny. If you say the chicken came first, then that would mean you believe in creationism. If you believe the egg came first then you're still with creationism. Something had to create the egg. So I find the example to be innaccurate :P

The EGG because it was laid by a lizard then hatched as a chicken!

abiogenesis or evolution

So did inanimate create more inanimate matter? Abiogenesis would refer to the eventual creation of a chicken, not the egg.

a genetic anomaly in an egg, or a mutation of an already alive animal?

abiogenesis = beginning of singe celled life

evolution = gradulation change in that life into larger, more complex beings
