You know, i was thinking. If America goes to war with Germany to stop the war lets say. Germany will want revenge. Then Germany will attack the U.S. Then allies will come in and theres you world war 3. And think about it. If the world was all settled and every country was peaceful with no enimies. The world would be even more overflowed with its human population than it is now. So if you think about it. War is good and bad.

no problem.
but the profit, that can be seen in a war is simply all the stuff you get when plundering the losing country.

Actually World War 2 did do one thing positive. It furthered womens rights. With all the men off to war, the women were left to do almost everything, they were employed en mass for the first time ever. Of course they lost these jobs when the war ended and the men returned, but they proved they could do the jobs just as good as the men could.

And that was one of the very first steps towards equality for women.

well you could achieve that without a war.
women in finnland are allowed to vote and have full rights since 1906

The Soviet Union started that in the 20s and 30s. A decade before America.

russia is more of an enemy than germany

Why would you think that? Russia is a close allie to Russia, Germany- I can't say.

i think, that if there hasnt been ww2, then the american nation, would figure out that women have equal rights eventually. especially since other countries were able to enforce it by then

I agree with donpiet if there wasnt a word war 2 then I think that we would have figured out that women and men are totally equal.

So are you saying that we still havent, or are talking in the past tense? And does anyone really think that when large amounts of people are killed in a war, it helps the population of the earth?

This thread posed interesting to me as I am in the military and have been to Iraq and Afghanistan to fight this "War". For those of you who are against it...I want you to imagine strolling down the street and seeing a mother and her children executed via firing squad just because they said something someone didn't agree with. Maybe you guys missed the fact that 2,998 people dies when they attacked our Trade Centers. Never mind I'm not even going to continue this...I just want you to think about that...they killed 3,000 of our people

and how many of their people have been killed?

i mean terrorist attacks are bad and very tragic.
but it is terrorist that have to be fought, and not whole countries. the iraq had nothing to do with any terrorist attack on the usa. the were attacked because the "had" weapons of mass destruction
