I've spent hours while trying to sleep pondering what happens and what it feels like after you die. The thought scared me a little. So, the question is, do you believe in coming back to Earth as a different animal, a different human being? Or do you think we float aimlessly in blackness? Or do you believe in heaven and hell?
It's a myth scientists don't know what happens when you die, they just don't have the heart to make a big deal out of it. Your brain stops functioning when you die and you lose consciousness forever. Dualism is just wishful thinking.
No, I don't. I don't think there's a limbo, heaven, hell - you just cease to exist; much like you were prior to your birth. It's confusing trying to wrap your mind around it because in a very real way, I cannot remember 'not existing'; but I take solace in the fact that if that is indeed what is to happen, I won't be around to care very much.
so then if we just ceases to exist then how did we come to this earth, and why were we even born if there is nothing after this ??
This is getting a little bit off topic. But in my mind there is no reason we were born. Why were the fish born? They don't go to heaven. But there is one thing everything that is alive does, make more of itself. You were born to have sex.
And how did we come to this earth? Many possibilities. Some people think basic elements mixed in a swamp somewhere, made some simple proteins which were then struck by lightning. Some think there was life on mars and it was hit by a meteor, then that meteor carried simple anaerobic* organisms to earth.
*Organisms that do not require oxygen to survive
Did I get those two theories right? Gotta get someone who isn't 17 years old to explain it better =P

umm, idk what I believe in at the moment... ever since a few months ago I just don't know. I don't think it's reincarnation. I was raised a catholic but I know most of that religon is just bs.
so ya idk lol gonna have to research both sides of what i'm teetering on (atheism and christianity).
You do realize what you are right now. You are an Agnostic. You doubt the existence of a god. But if he came around and talked to you one day you'd probably accept him.
