I personally do think there will be. And as far as this "war on terrorism" goes it might lead to WW3. I want to know what you guys/girls know. And keep to the rules.
I think it a no brainer of course there will be WW III if humanity doesn't die out before it. But if WW III did happen it won't happen in the near future. Maybe in 50 years or so and by then the U.N will probably grow a few brain cells and make nukes/gas bombs ect... internationally illegaal

World War III won't happen any time soon thanks to the fall of second world nations and the rise of globalization. But if it does, I hope we've banned atomic weapons!

That was the first quote that can into my mind when I clicked on this thread. lol.
I honestly have no idea how or when it will happen but I do believe that it will lead to major destruction of most of the planet. Our weapons are getting much too powerful and with all the super powers fighting again it wouldn't end well for anybody.
At this rate, yes there will definitely be a WW3. Everyone hates each other and everyone is aiming nukes at each other, so a WW3 is inevitable.

With the fall of the Soviet Union, Communism in the world has only been limited to China and few small nations. And no one has nukes pointed at anybody, other than Iran at NATO members, potentially. If anybody fires any nukes at Europe, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, or any democratic nation, they will feel the wrath of over 50% of the world's military power.
Also i think that WW3 would be too costly to humanity, and no one is going to try and risk it.
If there is, most likely it will be a nuclear war. You all know how close we came during the cold war, we were at DeathCon2, the highest ever in history. Someday, tensions bewtween countries just might snap, and the world will be filled with nuclear fire power and billions will be killed.
And I'm thinking there will be a Fallout 3 kind of aftermath, but minus the super mutants and other radiologically mutilated creatures.
Probably considering me and the rest of us living in the US are being way to cocky and all russia or NK would have to do is just drop a nuke on NYC and the other big cities and were done.
I don't believe that the war on terrorism will lead to WW3. After the war with terror is done, there will be a time of peace and prosperity, then we'll get in a scrap with either China, North Korea, or the Soviets might come back from Russia. Anyway, it'll be all out war leading the other countries with treaties in to WW3. Eventually, I think that WW3 will lead to biological and nuclear warfare, which will ultimately bring on the end of the Earth.
there still could be a ww3 but if there is i would want to be a country that is on the same side as america and russia(lets hope they would be on the same side)
