I personally do think there will be. And as far as this "war on terrorism" goes it might lead to WW3. I want to know what you guys/girls know. And keep to the rules.
I think there will be one day. I hope that it never happens, but when considering all of the turmoil in the world today, it almost seems unavoidable. If (when?) WW III breaks out, it will probably have to do with the distribution of wealth/ power, America's international debt (if one day we don't have the money to pay and the other nations call us out, I don't think the government in control of the world's most powerful military will kindly hand it over), or some other factor(s) that I don't know about (don't get me wrong, I'm no expert on this stuff).

Honestly, I don't think America will be involved in "WW3". I only say that because of history. Although, America might be pulled into it by it's allies.
In regards to how it will be fought... I read an old book that was lying around my Mom's house called The Price of Glory: Verdun 1916 by Sir Alistair Horne about WWI(amazing read btw). In the book it talks about how French Officers studied the American Civil War and I also remember there was a quote by some general(?) after the Civil War that said how the next war will be fought in trenches. Therefore, to see how WW3 will be fought, we should look to the past wars.
Although, technically if WW3 is going to be fought in the future we should look to future wars for us but not the future to people who fight in WW3?? I hope someone understands what I mean.

It will be more like Terminator salvation style with the difference that developed nations will Take place of robots(not kliteraly just in the sense of dominance) and under developed nations will be rsistance.
Well most likely. Because the amount of wars that will happen in the future, and I think there will be a world war with north Korea or somewhere like that simply because the line between countries like that are very thin, and ties and becoming very tense, With all their nuclear weapons and there army. Its like the same with china or Russia, Hiding themselves away from the world doing things in secret. So the chance of WW3 is inevitable,I think.
For half a century the USSR and USA aimed more nukes at each other than there are in existence now whilst maintaining the largest armies the world has seen. There wasn't a world war. Whilst possessing such weapons might quickly escalate a war in event of it, it's not a precondition towards a WW.

I wasn't trying to say trench warfare would be used. I was saying we should look to wars of the past but not as far back as WWI. I was just using it as an example of how one war's tactics influence another's.

If Congress passes SOPA....most definitely. Not really though, it would take more than just SOPA. But it could be very possible. At the current rate it is going to happen if our government doesn't get their act together and stop doing things that our going to cause major conflict then it will happen. Either that or the complete collapse of America because of the stupidity of our government leading to WW3. Now if you will excuse the government is now going to detain me indefinitely without trial.
I doubt this will lead to a war. It will piss off website developers and such, but it won't tick off national governments worldwide. Some governments are already actively pursuing an anti-piracy stance, I highly doubt that this would actually create anything more than a bunch of angry ambassadors at the UN. It's not an issue that would lead to all out nuclear war.
