Now, I know i should dig deeper and get both sides of the story and such, but I found a problem with SHOPS already.

So it seems greean is being rather rude to hollistergirl. Why you may ask? Simplie for a stament made in her about saying, "Rasicst should go to hell." Which is an opinon correct?

So he comes in saying that she needs to take it down that it is flamming. Which, it is not.

He has no real power there, and idon't think he should not be alowed to "run" SHOPS, if he is going to get a big head about it.

Really what I'm trying to say is just go read Green's profile, and Hollisters. You will see what I mean.

Well...we have identified the SHOPS problem...so now the questions are...

Do we solve it?

And how?

we could, or just let this pass yet have a higher chance of this happening again

And how?

*shudder* don't make SHOPS a mod... honestly, new management. life isn't fair green

By getting rid of SHOPS. It a group that assumes moderators can't handle the reports. Which they can ( i hope). This is pointless. Spam builds up when members give reports to SHOPS. Because then not only does SHOPS have to approve of it, it has to be sent to a moderator, which could have been already taken care of. SHOPS just makes things more complicated. It consumes time. If you look at the Pros and Cons of it, which are:
Pros:
*It makes Moderators job a bit easier.
*It gets rid of meaningless spam reports
(All i can think of now, add more if you can)
Cons:
*Causes more spam to build up
*Important reports aren't taken care of quick enough
*NON-moderator material users are running it
*Moderators need to deal with spam ASAP. They can't wait for SHOPS
*Causing spam related situations to get worse.

If you add everything up, SHOPS is a negative to Armorgames.com.

I think SHOPS should stay...as a meat shield and prevent the walls of mods from being spammed up...

Another con:

Some reports that should be taken care of are ignored.

Another:

May lead to flamming when people are ignored.

Before I became a moderator, the only time I corrected people who did something wrong or reported someone to a mod was when there was a real issue. Normally flaming, advertising, or something pretty bad. Otherwise, I ignored most spam and the smaller issues. I became a moderator by knowing when to react and how to handle my given situation.

This thread is pointless, the whole racist thing isn't a big deal, and the flaming here is just dumb. Leave the trivial stuff to the mods please.

Stop focusing on being the most helpful member or being anti-spambot. It causes problems as much as it fixes them.
