PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING

Now you're probably opening this thinking "oh great another rant on religion", well you're right. But please keep reading on because what I have to say is important and applies to all beliefs, even if you don't have one.

Many religions now believe the world is going to end, soon. Basically they believe this because of "signs" and their precious magic books. Well the scary thing is the world could end soon, and religion could actually be its cause. The fact is, for the world to live on religion must die. Faith is nothing to brag about it, and people who accept faith, or preach it are just intellectual slaveholders. Religion has caused so much craziness and destruction and I think 9/11 is a great example, however I won't get into it much because of everything else I have to say.

Now, why is religion so powerful? Because it allows people who DON'T have the answer to what happens when we die to think they do. If you're a christian or any other religion you may think it's great to say "PLEASE GOD I'M WILLING! I'LL DO ANYTHING YOU ASK OF ME!" Well guess what, there are no gods talking to us so that void is filled in by corrupt and often hostile people.

This is why anti-religious rationalists must come out of the freakin closet and let themselves be heard. And for those of you who only consider yourselves "a little religious", is the safe feeling of believing in a religion worth the pain and destruction it causes? If you belonged to a social group that wasn't a religion that involved so much bigotry, homophobia, violence, and ignorance as religions you would quit the club and protest against it. And if the end of the world comes because of nuclear arms led by religious nut jobs... just remember what the true problem was. We found a way to end lives on a mass scale before we stopped wishing for it.

Then he said that that is exactly what he thought. Therefore he is saying that he thinks doing nice and helpful things are evil

WTF?????????? WHEN I SAID YOU PROVED MY POINT ITS BECAUSE YOU FUCKING SAID THAT I WAS STUPID! AND MY POINT WAS AT THE TIME THAT PEOPLE IN A RELIGION THINKS EVERYONE ELSE IS WRONG!!

I doubt you even read my whole fucking post at the beginning did you!?!?!?!

I think that most of the worst crimes in America, and probably most crimes in general are done by Atheists.

Care to give any examples of terrible crimes committed by atheists?

JJ ~

So your saying that something that teaches people to live a good life and do good helpful things is evil? Its just sad that you think your sooo smart when you dont know much at all.

[quote]actually you sort of just proved my point.  thanks!   You said idk much at all... why?  because I dont believe the same thing as you, which in your religion labels me as someone who is ignorant and going to hell

and how is teaching to be intolerant a good life?

read all of the post, not just what you want to argue

I just said it, look to my last response. and actually I don't think I want to debate with you anymore because you're as stubborn as a mule and won't take any other ideas beside the ones you grew up with your whole life and only probably follow because of that reason... because you've never know anything else.

you follow faith blindly and if you thought god was telling you to kill your family you'd probably do it wouldnt you? I'm done debating with a mule.

Ok, calm down, and I already said I read your whole first post, if you dont believe me thats your problem, but i am telling you that I did.

Did you hear about that video that someone recently posted on AG, but was deleted? it was about an innocent man being brutally murdered and tortured while the people doing it laughed. I pretty sure those people were atheists. Also abortions, most abortions in the USA happened after pre-marital sex, which is against Catholic beliefs, which is one of the largest beliefs in America.

One example of people you're not even sure were atheists killing people doesn't cut it.

Examples of terrible criminals in US history:
Charles Manson - Christian
Ted Bundy - Mormon
Jeffrey Dahmer - Christian

Also abortions, most abortions in the USA happened after pre-marital sex, which is against Catholic beliefs, which is one of the largest beliefs in America.

Many Christians have pre-marital sex, and having an abortion isn't a criminal act, it's perfectly legal.

LOL thats actually really funny! You say I wont take your ideas, yet you wont take mine! My whole family isnt Catholic, so that disproves your point. You obviously dont know any bible stories because in one, that exact thing happens. I would explain to my Family what I am doing and Why, andyou know what they would probably let me do. And I would. Because I would know that God wouldnt ask me do something like that unless he has a really good reason.

you still never acknowledged that there was a possibility that I was correct.

And actually mules/ donkeys are quite nice, and like carrots xD

donkey/mule is also a nice word for a show with Johnny Knoxville

why do you need encouragement or some clarity for agreeance to your thoughts? THINK
