No, there would be to many compromises because the governments are quite different.
Also I don't want to be part of America.

That's kind of like saying, It would be cool if there was peace on Earth. It would be good, but it won't happen in near future. And even if it did happen a lot of people would be pissed.

well actually, around the time of the war of 1812 the US had many opportunities to do just that... so I think they should have been one country a while ago but now that both countries already have to set forms of government, it would be unwise and also cause a lot of political upheaval.

It would be nice if we could be one country, but I doubt that will ever happen. Unless the apocalypse really does happen and while reconstructing civilization they decide to band together xP

Awesome! Not really. It would be nice if we could have one passport and dual citizenship though. But still technically be two countries.

Also a fusion of our militaries would be good too, although we are already almost inseparable in the regard of close proximity defense.

my grandparents live in canada
and when they come to visit us every year they have to convert their money
and they'd bring say 100 dollors and get like 70 back
(i have no clue about the actual amounts)
and every year they say that they loose less and less and less

I concur, we should stick as we are. plus, I wouldn't want Canada to be marked the same as America....

yeah, i feel that canada is doing way better than we are
