In my opinion the 2 best drummers of all time. So stop claiming that Lars Ulrich or the dude from Slipknot are good. Niel Peart and Kieth Moon I'll let you get away with.
You can be the fastest drummer ever and be able to do a triple bass roll, but the point of drumming is keeping rhythm, and if you can't do that, you suck. Neil Peart is just a God, and he can keep rhythm so that does make him the best drummer ever.
This is all an opinion. Just because you prefer those two over the rest doesn't mean that they suck. Lars Ulrich is a pretty good drummer. Moon The Loon was a powerful and heavy drummer. I don't really like Joey Jordison that much, but he can keep a good beat going.
I like Soundgarden's drummer he's pretty good and so was Judas Priest's drummer.
Niel Peart of Rush is good, but, from a drummer of 4 years' standpoint, Buddy Rich is without a doubt the best who ever lived. Although he was a complete jerk.
Neil Peart just happens to be the drummer of my favorite band and of course he rocks, he can even play the drum solo of life lol (from the ATHF movie).
I also think that Artimus Pyle from Lynyrd Skynyrd was good (mainly for his awesome mountain man appearance )
I love the Stones, I grew with this music around me, but I must say that Charlie Watts is ok, he he's a quite good rummer, but he's not fantastic!!He just does what he has to, he hasn't transform drums with his technics or anything like that... Travis Barker is really good, even if I don't like Blink182, he is really amazing...(The Transplants rules, by the way...)
On a technical scale Lars Ulrich is not all that amazing. I can play a good deal of Metallica songs whereas I'd be hard-pressed to play anything anything Virgil was doing.
