I think that george Bush could possible be the worst president that we have ever had, we are trillions of dollars in debt and we are in a war that appears to have no ending, please tell me what you think.

I still need more posts to try to persuade me to somewhat think he is only sort of a terrible man.

None of you people have done anything to add to the discussion. This is why people mock America... we can't even stand behind our leader. Disgusting antipatriotism, all of it... You have to have respect for the office of the president, even if you don't like whoever is in charge. I ****ing HATE Obama, but if (God forbid) he wins, I'll have no choice but to stand behind him. It's my duty as an American. It's everyone's duty. If you don't like it, then get the **** out. There's the door, go to Canada where they sit around bashing us all day.

You sir, have given up you freedom. This country (America) was built on freedom and to your own opinion. If you can back up someone you don't beleive in more then you can back up your opinion

I don't know where YOU live megamickel, but as for ME as an American it is NOT my duty to support something or someone I dont beleive in.

He isn`t a good leader because he stuck out his middle finger (Oh noes) in a wideo. And he started another war. Clinton rocks ( not Hillary)

cheers,

Wait...
So people like to look smarter...
Without looking smarter?
Now I'm curious...

Funny, how it works. Let's consider the following:

i) People like to be accepted.
ii) These days, demonstrating that you have some sense of rationality is a good thing.
iii) Therefore it's cool to be cynical, because that means you're 'not uncritically accepting'.
iv) Besides, among a certain population, distrust and rebellion is glamorous and cool.
v) Problem is, if you're too smart about stuff, more and more people will start seeing you as different to them in a threatening sense.
vi) Being different in this way is very uncool. The resulting anti-intellectualism is known as 'tall-poppy syndrome', and is linked to nationwide phenomena known as "brain drain". Such is the nature of popular culture that it seems that at the very least, the US has it, the UK has it, and Australia has it.
vii) Moral of the story? It's fashionable to bash the authority figure, but make sure you stick to the usual lines. Otherwise people start hating you, and by i) this is a bad thing.

Note that all this doesn't actually reflect on how good or bad an authority figure actually is. After all, those who clamor in support of said figure could be just as uncritical.

And yes, I was taking the piss. But only slightly.

He's the worst president ever, he started a war which costs lots of money. He also caused the house problems and in this way made the dollar less valuable and let the economy drop. I don't know anything really good about what he did.
Anyway he's the worst president ever. I hope Obama or Hillary is much better.

1 Not blindly following your leader is patriotism.
2 Who ever sends my father into a war zone when he was in the "national guard", because he (bush, not my father) needed a war to push his agenda of distroying the intire system of checks and balences as we know it gets the middle finger from me!
3 yes, that was a run on sentince.

Here are some George Bush quotes:

"I misunderestimated the Iraqi army"
"I know how hard it is to put food on your kids... especially when they are running away"

He's a first-class idiot.
