Do scenarios of robots malfunctioning, rebelling, or escaping from top secret labs strike fear into your heart? Dangerous robots come in many forms: from tiny insects to giant walking droids. Daniel H. Wilson teaches worried humans the keys to quashing a robot mutiny. From treating laser wounds to fooling face and gait recognition, besting robot logic to engaging in hand-to-pincher combat, Wilson covers every possible doomsday scenario facing the newest endangered species: humans. And with its thorough overview of current robot prototypes-including giant walkers, insect, dog, and snake robots-How to Survive a Robot Uprising is also a witty yet legitimate introduction to contemporary robotics.
NOW YOU REALIZE WHY WE MUST STOP THE EVIL ROBOTS BEFORE HUMANITY IS LOST FOREVER!!!!
Spend the rest of your life on a boat. Or maybe just stay inside and watch TV and hope they find someone else to chase. Oh, and maybe do something to fry electrical circuits, like self destruct buttons. Someone created the robots, right?
Here's how you can protect yourselves if you build robots of your own and a lot of ways to train and make your robot defend itself!
#1 Protect the internal components from damage by the opponent. Cover your robot in armor around the areas that are at risk of being damaged by a blow. Try to keep your internal components away from the top and edges where they are at most risk for damage. Position them deep in the center of the robot.
#2 Design your robot to move quickly and with ease. Part of being of being able to defend itself is being able to out maneuver its opponent.
#3 Build your robot to be able to move upside down. If it is "flipped" by another robot, it won't be left immobile and vulnerable to attack. It should also be designed so that its inner components aren't damaged by being flipped.
#4 Prepare your robot's defense for the possible attacks it may receive. Do this by first observing the other robots in your weight category and the combat moves they perform. If they are returning contestants you will have an idea of how they fight.
#5 Practice and perfect your offensive moves. In robot combat, offense is your best defense. You need your robot to attack the opponent before it gets attacked.
PS. Make them as big as possible and don't let the evil robots turn them into evil ones too!

yeah but if you're on a boat some robots can chase you on a boat! and if you stay home and watch TV they'll break into your house and steal you brain! lol. and yeah I guess you can hit the self destruct button but it'll be hard. think of ways to make them like stuck or something.
BTW. we also gotta figure out how to destroy the machines that make the robots. I heard like there are these machines that keep on making more and more robots by itself.
sportschamp here's the thing... like on the thread i don't just want really simple things repeated over and over again. i want new things. and also if it destroys the robot then good! lol. but as I said they're some that might be able to repair themselves that are really advanced. so don't think of it as me making excuses.
