So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)
TALK ABOUT ANYTHING RELATED TO COLONY (and beef burgers)
Obvious that it doesn't do anything with saint rush and when they destroy the base, the only thing they can do is to be commanded to charge and will shoot the saints. Saint rushes are goddam floating hover tanks with a sniper and a female medic on board. The hover tank just shoots units on air while the sniper is shooting down and the medic repairs the Hover tank How the hell did I come up with a female medic on board and I am not an engineer, its just a joke made from Team Fortress 2 and some beef burgers
uhhh right, end of arguement then?
and pegy i still dont understand why you need micro in bq v sait case it has the shorter range. you only realy need micro when you units have more range than theres or a slower fire rate and the same range (eg scout v marine). a bq had neither of those things when fighting a sait..plz explain
well, ur right but, in queens POV u want to keep it around as long as possible, no? soooo u need to sustain as little damage as possible right, and from saint POV it heals itself which is fantastic sooo moving back and forth gives u an edge 1v1.
I'm back at colony! Although haven't stayed long enough to know nowadays surroundings, I think it's going pretty well with reducing hacking (or has it gone worse?).
well said 40 you should play some more..and pegy i still dont understand why you need micro in bq v sait case it has the shorter range. you only realy need micro when you units have more range than theres or a slower fire rate and the same range (eg scout v marine). a bq had neither of those things when fighting a sait..plz explain
Because, like End says, BQ has no regen which means it is essential for it to receive as little punishment as possible, saint can just heal and the main micro needed for a saint is moving it forward to just outside the reach of the BQ then falling back and stopping when appropriate whereas the BQ needs to be sent forward just the right amount in order to be in distance to hit the saint without going forward too much as you will receive more damage than necessary and then you must push forward each time the saint falls back and always stop and move to specific distances in order to give the most damage and receive as little as possible. More micro involved for the BQ, in my opinion.
of course, in 1v1 unit situations, and heavy AA situations, and plain old units that dont have healing capabillities, its obvious when something cant heal itself, u have to be a lil more cautious with it... self repairing units ur allowed to be a lil more.. blunt.
The Saint is a better unit overall. It is easier to attain.
we agree to disagree..
That's true also, but Bank Forge Ops, is faster than a BQR (Black Queen Rush), so this leaves us to another imbalance in the game. Who knows what I am talking about?
not a clue really... i could guess, but than again ur talking about using a high end 3rd tier unit in a rush, oppose to wat could be a mon/fascist roman rush...... at the end of it all i have no clue wat ur talking about sir especially with this part
The Saint is a better unit overall
..... i mean the bq almost completely disheartens an opponent from using anything at or below tier2..... oppose to the saint which can only target single units, marines are actually an APPROPRIATE counter measure along side groditz..... but, cost effecientcy is wat ur going on, no? ... ur choice though..
