So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)

Yos's unit tier thing is wrong. When we were investigating communist the amount of resources we got from units is this

Marine 1
Roman 2
Meditec 2
Scout 3
Sniper 3
Far sniper 3
Chronite tank 4
S-marine 6
Groditz 7
Phantom 7
Mk2 7
Hover 10
Spider 10
Mod Phantom 12
Mod Sakata 12
BQ 15
Gladiator 15
Saint 15
Sphinx 15
Pride 15

This explains a lot. Like how tier 1 and 3 are supposibly balanced and why tier 2 post is cheaper. Though we would all probably agree that a pride is not worthy of being up there with the BQ and Sphinx.

Those are the unit values, which determine the resources gain for killing units as communist, but what units did you use to do the killing. I'm pretty sure letting a Marine kill something will give more resources and a Sniper.

About he Unit Tier System, you need to understand how the system determines the placement of each unit. I don't want to go into this right now.

Yos, you need to lighten up and not say such things like you are the best and other people are noobs. I mean, you called me an 'EQ noob' then when I won you put it down to me 'meta gaming' even though I was using my standard build.:L

I thought Communist gives resources 75% of the time when killing units (Give or take, not sure what the exact value is) regardless of what unit kills what.

Also I might add that a bug no one seems to mention,
the communist kills you get only give you up to 100 influence not the standard 200...

It was mentioned many times in the topic with the patch notes bro. Research before you post. I am pretty sure it has been mention at least 3 times in the GCD.

I actaully know where the is in the code.

It is not limited because it can go above 100, but gets reset to 100 when it kills a unit and receives influence.

This unit is underused. It has had so much potential, but it's current speed renders this unit rather useless. The plan is to switch it's current speed with the Black Queen. The health buff is intended to boast this unit's role within the meta-game. The goal is to make this a necessary unit to have in a army like the Sakata Mk-II. The Cost change is a to punish players who think it will be okay to mass this unit by slowing down the Barracks Upgrade. This unit should play many roles in the future of Colony.

-Health increase from 340 to 425.
-Speed increase from .8 pixels per frame to 1 pixel per frame.
-Cost change from 5/16/0/0 to 5/10/6/0.

Are you suggesting that groditz should require energy to be created? If so, this would make progressing to tier 3 very hard whilst creating grodz. I use them from time to time as they are a great counter against saints but the only problem is most 1v1's and what not are on normal setting and most people who go saint will have a spec ops up at some point which means bye bye grodz.:L

yea i think the price should stay the same just simply moving faster. after all if its so underused then there is no harm giving it some perks.

I have many more suggestions that will make this work. I know Grodtiz counter Saints but they are to slow to do anything. They are also a counter to the Black Queen, which is why the plan has them taking 2 shots from the Queen. The price will make sense later.

Can someone get through to Pac. he refuses to except everything that has been talked about for the last 5 months. I know he has reasons to hate me but I have better things to do than to 1v1 him after being up for 23 hours. I would really appreciate the help.

As a result of 3 money income monarchy is not fast enough to avoid a pin. Nevertheless fight it directly (assuming equal levels of high level skill are used). However if i am wrong. Go ahead and give me an example

1). It is hard without practice
2) missile dodge works like this. Take a fast unit (mod sakata) and take a cheap unit (romans/marines). Spam the cheap unit. Have both units on advance and observe the opponents spec ops. The moment you see thier production load really fast is when you click your mod sakata and fall back.

Very do-able however not many people have this level of micro

or we could give it 2 life regain technologys


Now that i think more about it i don't think the regen would do much. For most of the matches im in the mod doesn't die from constant low attacks. The mod always dies from 1 coordinated attack.

That would be OP against forge, however that would probably work well agaisnt post.

Good idea, but i dont think it should be longer than a sniper, probably Equal range with a hover tank. Imagine a sakata with that fast of an attack destroying 5 hovers with micro. Thats insane

I believe this may make commi a bit OP. If we remove the 20% income plus limit this to the 3 influence zone this should be fine

You are correct about the 2nd part. The unit that kills does not affect the resource gain.

However resources gained is dependent on the unit. Each unit is set a specific value. There is no relation to its resource/tier/use/ etc.

This may actually be a good thing. Since tier 2 forge and post are balanced and tier 3 forge is weaker than tier 3 post, this may continue balancing things out.

This makes groditz mirror the phantom. 23 money does halt the upgrade process
