A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

I thought Orion was permanent?

Apparently not. Since I have kindly been asked to shove my foot into my mouth (or rather asked whether I have the authority to make someone a judge) so, instead of just concluding it works, they want auditions. Hopefully Dudeguy doesn't get too interested in his ps3 again, so this thread gets locked again.

Are you allowed to change your entry....? Anyone know who's doing the judging this time?

Subtract a syllable from each of those lines and you're good to go.

Yes, you can change it. The rules state one entry per user. It doesn't state that you can't change you entry. I would like to replace my first one with the second.

Either me or Dudeguy. Not sure right now.

In the event that I myself am not judging, I'll enter one.

Dudeguy said back a few pages that whomever was judging this round (aka you) would be judging this one, and then he and his new co-judge would do the rest.
Whoever is the judge for this round can still be judge.
