A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

Reminds me of an aircraft carrier. Booms nicely puts it together.

You have never heard of the band Jefferson Airplane? It was a group in the 60's. Then in the 70's it changed its name to Jefferson Starship.

Since I won, I assume I get to choose the new theme. I pick "Facial Hair" for the next theme, unless it's too hard.

I'm pretty sure its not the winner who picks the theme, otherwise the last theme wouldn't have been airplanes....

@Orion, im pretty sure the winner gets to pick. Also I think facial hair is perfect. If you go earlier in the forum it states the winner gets to pick.

facial hair is not perfect, nor is facial hair poetic....then again neither are half these themes

The winner didn't get to pick the first 3 rounds. It started after that because the judge was too busy/lazy to pick the new theme...It's pretty much the judges choice. >.>
