A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

How is that indicate that you were kidding? Indicating that you were kidding would be something like "lol, or jking" not what you posted.

If you go earlier in the forum it states the winner gets to pick.


Who's in charge? Me. I'm in charge. I say who picks it, and that's me. Or Dudeguy. Whoever gets it first.

So unless I'm REALLY lazy, not happening. And this is emphasized with the theme of facial hair. That gives me reason not to allow it.

Because facial hair is stupid, and overly comical. And January is not lulz month for the competition. March is.

Let me refine what I said... Winner gets to pick... but make it logical. We want our contest ever growing (maybe even stickied! *giggle*), and "facial hair" will deter a lot of people.

When you posted the winning Haiku's, the Haiku I submitted was included but didn't have a mention or anything so I was wondering if it was an accident or if I was supposed to get something?
