This is in response to the who hates the jonas brothers topic. To many ppl aren't saying that they like jonas brothers any more because of that other thread....

I don't hate them as people because I don't know them. I think that they are delusional if they think their fame and success will continue as they get older because their audience is aging as well. Their music is really terrible, I have to say, from an arangement standpoint, lyrically, in just about every way. Not to mention the fact that I don't think they are really talented, every time I have seen clips of their live shows, they fail miserably to sing their parts well. Another thing is the oldest one...I mean come on, that guy's mic and guitar are never really hooked up to anything, he is just riding his two younger brothers train. Actually, to me it seems that both of the older brothers are riding the youngest ones success or potential to be a star, as he plays the most instruments, does the bulk of the singing to a not so horrible degree, and apparently had an acting career at one point. Thus, Jonas brothers as people, good. As a band, *$&#*@* terrible.
I don't like The Jonas Brothers. But I accept that they are the future of pop culture, even though it is not pop culture I will be taking part in. They're never going away, so stop whining about 'em.

Well I can't say they have no talent because I sure as hell can't write music even if my life depended on it. But I really don't like the music they play or the band themselves either. In my opinion, they suck.
I think they're just another product of Disney in the recent years I'm getting disappointed with them old cartoons and movies that they had produced were pretty good and still are but the recent ones for me kinda just suck and since they started bringing in music artists it kinda just took a turn for the worst in summary yeah i hate jonas brothers music i might not hate the people themselves
I'm just glad they have the decency to not try and shove their opinions down our throats like everyone else on TV. That being said I'll go on not listening to their terrible music.
I don't think you can say they have no talent. A lot of people don't realize how difficult it is to play a song, perfectly, on guitar without looking at the fret board. Sure there are a lot of popular songs, from different bands, that are full of power chords and that are easy to play. But I find it pretty challenging to play an entire song, standing up, without looking at the fretboard, and without making a any mistakes, on a guitar.
Now apparently the Jonas Brothers write their own music and play in front of decent sized audiences without messing up (or without messing too much. I've never seen a concert of theirs). Now take into account Disney Stars Like Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Mitchel Musso, and Emily Osment, all sing and have albums. How many times have you heard their music played on popular FM radio stations? Once? Never? (Do you even know who Mitchell Musso is?) However, The Jonas Brothers songs (especially their hit S.O.S) have been played on popular FM radio stations multiple times(and I know who they are).
Also, considering the Jonas Brothers probably have a fanbase of younger female tweens/teens (8-14 years old),who probably can't drive and don't have enough money to buy concert tickets or cd's, how did the Jonas Brothers get so big (or how did they get so well known or heard of)in the first place? Compared to other Disney stars (except Hanna Montana) they're name is well know with people outside their target audience. To me that makes it seem that they have a little more talent then your general Disney Star because although Disney can easily promote all of it's Stars, Jonas is one of few out of the bunch to become so big (well known or heard of).
I'm not necessarily saying I enjoy their music or that I like the band all I'm trying to say is you can't just say they have no talent at all. Considering their target audience (probably females 8 -14) it's impressive that we even know who they are. They have (somehow) made a name for themselves (and/or Disney helped with that, but remember most your other Disney Stars aren't that big, except Hanna, so it's an even playing field amongst Disney stars. Some talent had to be involved).
Can you play a Jonas song on guitar? Can you playing without making a mistake? Can you play it without looking at the fretboard and without making a mistake?
