I don't think that people should be able to walk around with assault rifles in public. But I don't see what's wrong with owning a gun for protection. If a person wants to kill someone, they are going to do it, with or without a gun. It's not the guns that kill.

yes you can protect yourself and also when you panic and think something is wrong, kill someone innocent. eg. a kid coming home late from a party.
this kind of accidents do not happen in countris where you dont own guns. also the burglaries and all incidents escalate easier if all people have guns.

People in almost every country own guns. Owning guns is interpreted as legal ownership. In fact even with guns banned, criminals can still smuggle them. That situation would makes accidents like the mentioned more likely.

Another point I have to make is that the people are bad. The guns aren't. I will use an analogy. If you kill someone with a sling, who will be blamed? The stone, the sling or you?

I agree with knight_34, Whether guns are illegal are not alot of criminals will still be able to get they're hands of them via smuggling or what not, And guns are made to kill, But people also use knives to kill. Should they be made illegal? It is not the guns that are bad, And accidents happen with weapons whether it be a gun or not, crap happens

most crimes are commited without the use of any real firearms. the problem with having guns in almost every household is, that you get a higher tension when it comes to crimes. any burglar knows he may rob someone with a gun, so he will try to bring his own weapons. also it is easier for criminals to get firearms, because you can buy them legally everywhere. if gun possession would be limited, only criminals would carry around guns and the risk of getting caught is higher, so even criminals(burglars, robbers and so on) wouldnt use weapons when performing crimes. and thus i think all crimes are bad, i rather want to be robbed, then to be shot, when encountering the burglar. also i think that shooting and killing someone who tries to steal is not justified.

i am really interested in statistics showing how many serial killers encounter people in their home and get shot by the victim in defense, in comparison to the accidents, where random people being on someones property get shot.
i wish i had a gun i could go BANG to bad people plus my uncle has sniper rifles shotguns pistols foreign knives of different armies and gun permit!life is so cruel!
