Now while some people thing that communism would fail after a certain point... what if... you reformed it into a more socialistic society?
In theory communism is best, we all know that. But in real life a less stringent form of goverment like socialism would be far better as we know not everyone will work equally like machines. Although socialism is similar, in many ways it is also different. It prevents the oppresive dictators from forming and more rights to the people. I believe that capitalism is about as sad as it gets. The Soviet Union would of lasted much longer had they increase consumer goods and decrease military might. See the way to a great nation is not through death and war. It is through creating a country that is so great, safe, and powerful. That people from other places would say.
Hey, would i want to fight them, they've done no harm. In fact i would rather go and fight for them than here.
It is sort of a unique form of socialism, keeping the basics, but working on the details, show others that you are strong, happy, and proud of your country. That if it came down to it. Would you give your life to go fight for your motherland? You, by your own mind, would immediately say Yes.
And to one day, have peace, by achieveing a global socialistic state. It have a end to wars, to focus on reserch in space, and work on technology for quicker food production, cheap and clean fuel sources.
To have the Reformed USSR on the globe and nothing else in my dream. For everyone to be equal and have a fair chance at life, if they want to be an astronaut, they will be. Not have some school deny him or her that dream because they can't afford the ridulose price of college.
For education and healthcare to be cheap or free. To help their neighbor in times of need. This is my dream, and i'm ready to make it happen.
[i]The Revolution is coming... The Question is... Are You Ready...?
I recognize that, and as a socialist I use that because it's a fact that your adverage middle class worker would see a notable rise in his paycheck under a socialist economy because CEOs are not hogging all of the profit the workers worked so hard to make possible. But in addition, a socialist would try to at least feed the poor and get them some sort of job and make life a basic right. If the poor want more than the bare minimum so they can afford luxuries, they have to work or they will not be able to afford them obviously.
In your argument, are you saying that those who get ahead first were the most greedy and therefore were the rightful owners of basically the whole economy?
The U.S.S.R was fine. The rest of the world just didn't understand it, so they figured it must be faulty.
Yeah, that's a lot like the colonists and Native Americans. We didn't understand them, and since their customs and stuff was "weird" we decided that they were savages. But so is Americans if you think about it with our daily lives and how we grow up. I'm not going to explain, but if you'd like to know why just ask lol
Anyways, back to the point... the U.S.S.R wasn't fine if you ask me. Their leaders were way too power crazy and militarily focused. That's not how you set an example for socialism to the world if you're trying to do that.
Anyways, not saying socialism is perfect cuz it's not. Any one system entirely isn't perfect, the perfect system is some socialized things like medicare, medicine, stuff that should be given out of MORALS and not ECONOMICS. But socializing businesses and factories is way too much government power if you ask me.
Ever hear of Joseph Stalin? You clearly do not know much about the Soviet Union after Lenin died in 1924.
What was wrong with hi.... oh right the eeerrr.... purging and stuff. I'm not saying the ends justify the means but the USSR did rapidly industialise under Stalin (though obvioulsy that transition casued alot of problems) and it put them in a position to fight off the germans in WWII (though again sheer mass of numbers helped there in that they could sand in wave after wave of troops)
The U.S.S.R was really fine after the fifties they started having many problems. Stalin was bad, but the did help the U.S.S.R., we all know the crimes he did, but at least under Stalin very poor persons did not exist. SO yes Stalin was a horrible person and made horrendous crimes, but he did too some few good things.
