So I didn't see a thread on this yet, but if you some how haven't heard of this yet basically schools are supposed to show a speech from Obama which is supposed to promote education and tell kids to set goals and such. Well some conservatives are calling this some sort of indoctrination from what I can tell and its sadly created a controversy.
So for a discussion do you think any of these claims have anything viable about them or are they just pointless? Do you think these claims may have gone too far possibly or not enough(for whatever reason)?
And how many of those actually polled were liberals? And how manipulated were the polls? Most and heavy. Those are the answers. It is literally impossible to get that low approval ratings. Unless you commit genocide or something, like Hitler or Pol Pot >>.>>
I don't believe in anything set up by the mass media. I would have them all hanged if it were my choice. They are a bunch of subhuman witches that brainwash America with liberal and conservative propaganda. They do not allow people to form their own opinions, the mother(bleep)ers.
You realize that that doesn't matter? Even if its obvious what someones opinion is, doesn't mean you shouldn't count it.
It matters heavily. It determines at least 70% of the time what they are going to say. You're not going to find a redneck saying Obama is a messiah, and you're not going to find a liberal who even thinks Bush is a human.
I believe that the speech should only be shown in high school classes. First because of the fact that anyone under the age of 14 isn't going to have any idea he's saying, and they'll just think of it as an opportunity to screw around. Second because won't kids under that age don't know enough about our government to form their own opinion on what he says. They'll rely 100% on their teacher to tell them what he said, and that's not effective. It should be up to each individual history/government teacher in the high schools though, whether or not the speech is shown. If they believe that it would be a good discussion point for the class, I don't see what's wrong with them showing it. Simply seeing a speech by Obama and being encouraged to participate in a debate about what he proposes isn't indoctrinating in the least.
All presidents make mistakes, but until one of them tortures and kills millions of people for disagreeing with them and brings up hostile regimes in foreign countries, lets hold off on the name calling.
how did this turn into a thread comparing Obama to Bush?
Brain washing, every government has it.
North Korea tends to be famous for it.
you're not going to find a liberal who even thinks Bush is a human.
I would probably have to disagree with that. Especially since it makes more sense that someone who makes a lot of mistakes be called human, as that is what humans do.
