Well in many songs, movies, games and everything you see great nationalism for America. I kinda think it's stupid to use amerifcanism if you intend to spread your thing trhoughout the whole world. For example bands/singers we all over the world listen to, have a few songs about america, and how great it is. Well, I don't think America is all that good, maybe its also part of my own nationalism, but I actually always prefer speaking english on stuff I intend International. If you say your country is good, Will you make friends with that?

Just was wondering how people thought about this (I also want to hear some from some americans)

God save the Queen/king.

Just wondeing, a tad off topic, why is this part in there? With all of your country's defenses and stuff, and don't think there's anything out there that can threaten your king/ queen to the point that God'll need to back her up.

The current version was published in 1744 and in the olden days everything was very religious (even now to an extent). After all the coronation takes place in Westminster Abbey and is done by the Archbishop of Canterbury. But there is no point changin the anthem now and at the end of the day I don't think the Queen really thinks the God will do anything to save her.

Good point. It's strange, thinking back to that far and considering how different things would be.

with four shotguns under his pillow

Two, and a sawn off one, so I guess 2 and a half
Seriously though, not all Americans are like that. Its just another stereotype, and I think people get that impression because they think of the South. I don't accept what we do as instantly good, and I know we've made a lot of mistakes. If people can't admit that, we'll just keep doing the same damn things over and over again...

I'm under the impression that the world thinks that Americans are overweight loons. We are crazy Americans after all.

Kinda like the "Evil Russian Communist Freak" stereotype. But there is no "South" that comes to mind as the explanation of where that comes from. Only the West. The very far West, across the ocean... but, still you seem to understand what I'm saying, and to an extent, agree. I'll just be getting off your case now.

And if you think the U.S.A.'s citizens are the worst for it...

Nope, I just took America as an example, as it's jsut one clear example. Every country has this a bit but some are more extreme. I never said America was the only country like this

That's how your country was made.

Wrong... America started without an army, in WOI they Joined the war, but came a year later, just because they needed to recruit an army and produce weapons.

I kinda liked waht Mike said. America might be good in some things but on an international level they act as if they're boss 'n god. The normal american might be OK but some are jsut too patriottic and they don't notice it at all. If you can admit the wrong doings of yourself and your country, then I think you're a true man. Otherwise you're just a coward for hiding the truth.

Well, time for another American to say something. America, as I know it now, is crap. No. We are not all fat. No. We are not all anarchists. Yes. We are stupid- everybody is, even if we don't think it. Very few of us actually say "America rules, we are better than everyone!". You have just heard a select medium-sized group of people that do that. If you wanted America in its glory days, try Ronald Reagen (or however you spell his name). He was a great. After him, all of our presidents have cared more about making their particular party happy, not The People. So America sucks, and the way it's going, it won't even be called the United States of America. It would be called the United Territories of the President soon. I am going off-topic so I'm gonna return it. Yeah, some us Americans love Americanism. But we are a Democracy so you can not really believe that the answers of a few people in media is how we all think.

Every person has the right to be proud of who they are, Americans who are proud to be Americans fine, Japanese who are proud to be Japanese good. Dont make people feel guilty of themselves just because of their patrioism.

People who use Americanism are just a single group in America, that's what is so amazing about America.

Im American, and have always been an American. America has made some seriously messed up decisions, but has never had a BIG consequence. I think this is why people like America, nothing too bad ever happens.
