I think it's nice to know what instruments people play. It can be either rock instruments or in a school band or orchestra I play guitar, bass guitar (main), drums (set and percussion) and trumpet.
I play percussion for my school band, but it's not my main focus.
I've been playing piano and keyboards for 4 years. I'm pretty good too. I'm also lead singer in my band. Since my keyboard is currently broken I spend most of my free time writing songs rather than practicing though. I do spend quite a bit of time singing though.
I love when my old posts get dragged up like this! And this one is actually staying on topic! God jobs guys! And I'm proud of every single person that's posted in this thread because they have takin their musical talent, no matter how little of it they think they have, and put it to good use by playing an instrument. Good job guys *claps for them* ^-^
I play the electric guitar, currently i own just a old Fender but soon I am getting a new explorer guitar. Guitar has always been a way for me to escape from the difficulties of life and just to relax. Guitar has also been proven to help relax the body and the mind and help you concentrate better on the things that you need to accomplish.
In addition to that you can also play many different styles on the guitar like blues, rock, punk, alternative, and sometimes pop. I personally play soft rock and rock because there is a lot of material that you can learn, and really fun when you are playing with another friend.
Finally there is a lot of history behind the guitar as a instrument. Many famous people that we know today have gotten their fame through playing guitar. So even if you don't like playing the instrument it is always fun just exploring through its history and the people who have made their fame from it.
