God doesn't play by the rules of science.

Good point. BUT the rules of science were created by MAN. How do you know they are entirely true? When you think of it that way, it's easy to argue against science.

There is no point arguing against science, believing in God does not mean that science is wrong, it just means that your answer to some questions which science can not answer/explain well is God. The best thing is accepting what science has proven and you can still believe in God.

Well I think Snakebite's question still stands, If you ask how does that make God true? How is it that all of science is true?

No one knows what's true or not. Christians have "faith" and non-religious groups have logic and reason. I guess it comes down to if you like the comfort of religion better, or the logic and reasoning of science.

how can he crate the universe in 6 days if the days didnt existed?i mean,according to the introduction comment,god needed to be in a planet to live a day,because depending on the planet,god created the universe in unknow hours because it matters on the planet he was when he created the universe...but there were no planets!!!no planets!!!!no sun,no earth,nothing!the guys who wrote the bible didnt know that we need a planet to have a "day".in my opinion theres no god,no religions(i mean,if there were one there wouldnt have war in iraq,because all should have the love or something as their "god&quot but only a place were you go after you die,and after a few time you live again but on another body.and some scape from this &quotlace" they're what we call ghosts or spirits

please excuse possible grammar mistakes.comment on my profile if you didnt understan my comment.

Not all science is correct many theories have been proved wrong, but some things are just facts. Science is not dogmatic, because it's very hard for a theory to be accepted by all the members of the scientific community and also when we learn something new we improve or prove wrong the older theories.

I'm pretty sure 1+1=2, of course I've heard it equals fish too...

I think I was actually about 10 when I had a moment that I was wondering if anything is real, I wondered if I was in a dream...It's a very strange feeling to have. Also, watching the Matrix makes you think too, I swear I witnessed lag in real life lol.

I don't know where I'm going with this, but I guess I just have a feeling nothing is law, everything could be just a theory. (head hurts...)

Some things are facts example:
Propnol burning.
C3H7OH+(9/2)O2-->3CO2+4H2O
T>=160 C

its just that not everything in religion is believable and not everything in science is believable either.

That's the point of having both of them, the things which can not be explained by science can be explained by religion and vice-versa.
There is no correct answer to no religion related question, everything depends from how the person itself interprets it.

Science doesn't require belief it requires proof. We can do independent tests for a scientific theory and come up with the same answer with each test. If we don't we have to revise or get rid of the theory. That's how science works. Unlike religion that relies entirely on belief, at time regardless of the proof.

Since religion is entirely based on faith it can't really explain anything.

The whole questioning existence thing made me think for a minute. What if we are already in hell? What if all science and religion is wrong, and we are being punished to have a human nature. Everything we know is actually false and we were put here and made to believe this is reality. We were meant to question and never really be satisfied with explanations, only to move on to other questions for eternity. Uncertainty about death and the anxiety that accompanies it, but we're dead already. We're paying for something we did, but don't know what for anymore as punishment. All this fretting over religion and science and creating our own hell and all that. And not knowing it, being robbed of what would be rational thought in a different world to think like this, and not know the difference. All our debating is meant to be futile as punishment, because no matter who's right in the end we're all wrong.

Sorry about the chunk of thought I kind of vomited. It was just something interesting I dwell on every once in awhile, and it makes me laugh at the possibilities and the futility. If the world was really like that then life's just a giant punchline. I don't actually believe any of this, but the thought of the world being the way it is as a punishment for something we don't know we did seems funny to me.

That case; Hell is a pretty sweet place then. ( My sandwich just got better)

I feel like giving a philosophical rant:

I came to the conclusion, that Science and Religion; does it really matter? You have a life, you should spend it well. do what you want to do. do what you are great at. Live life to the fullest. You shouldn't spend it arguing and complimenting whether or not you are going to heaven or hell; or going to the black abyss of death. its your life live it well. The purpose of life: to find happiness and contention of yourself.

I don't know why I typed that. Just felt like typing something deep.

The Renaissance Humanist movement is pretty interesting, especially Erasmus. I still get a great laugh every time I read Julius Excluded From Heaven.

Yeah, same with Dante. It's pretty funny seeing Popes in hell, especially when they were the corrupt political popes.
