My IQ is upwards of 140,

Americans are getting smarter. My IQ is 132 and i'm 14.

everyone is a hero on the internet, these IQ numbers that you have guys have "said" to be your IQs are really high, by all means you all should be in high IQ society. IQ tests cost upward to 50 dollars to get a real diagnostic of your intelligence quotient. Not many of you can drive yet to testing centers so I highly doubt that many of you guys have the IQ you say you have. IQ tests on facebook or the "free" internet ones dont count as a viable source for getting your IQ score. Basically I am calling a HUGE BS on liars.

MENSA, the high IQ organization, requires you to have 130+ IQ. But why are you guys not in Mensa? oh because you guys are liars. thats right I do not believe any of this BS about having 140, 130 IQ. especially when your median age is 13, and you guys are still learning to write in cursive.

I don't think American IQ is lowering all that bad. It's just that other countries are increasing their standards and raising their average IQ.

I have no idea what my IQ is, as I've never had a professional test done, and I'm not even out of high school yet, so it wouldn't be all that accurate. But then again, I'm Asian, so even if I DID know my IQ it wouldn't contribute to the IQ of America :P.

I'm a freshman and really my school is full of idiots. in my grade there's probably 20-30 people with straight A's. My school is also in one of the worst places to get an education. I got yelled at for having an A-. My mom said that i shouldn't have an A- because public school in new mexico is so far under my level its boring. My parents are both doctors though so that might have something to with their standards compared to the schools.

None of you seem to know what IQ even is... Except DDX maybe, not 100% sure. IQ isn't how much you know, it's your potential for learning. The higher the IQ, the faster you learn, the more you retain, and the better able you are to apply it. It doens't matter if you've completed school or are 7 years old, your IQ test is the same. Pushing people in school doesn't make them have a higher IQ, it just educates them.

I don't know my exact IQ, but the special accelerated education program I'm in in my school has an IQ test as part of the entry and you have to be at least at 130 IQ-wise to be accepted into the program. I think it said somewhere in the 150s, but I'm not making any definite claims since I can't remember the exact numbers.

IQ has consistently increased since recorded history began, so I don't think different is true for the USA.

those public school programs only test if you are above a certain point in IQ. UNless your school spent a lot of money to get a definite score for you I highly doubt you would have a actual IQ number, rather it is like a pass or fail. scoring past that exam, will put you in the top 99th percentile, but having an IQ of 150 means that you are in the 99.94th percentile of the population. and know not many people above that, I dont belive that your IQ is above 150.

My iq is 126. I had to get it tested this summer at school to see if I could get in seminar. (acellerated learning) It wasn't high enough. *sigh* It had to be 129. 144 and above is considered like being a genius.

I believe the United State has a less than par education system. The students do not get enough one on one time and this is easy to see based on the significant difference between our standard scores and the ignorance the United States in a whole show. By the way, my IQ is 159. The IQ test is common knowledge, it's not even difficult.

Well, I made a mistake. I mean't to say "the ignorance the United States shows as a whole instead" of [quote]"the ignorance the United States in a whole show"

No, it's an exact score thing. The score they call you is called SAI instead of IQ but it's equivalent. Reading more about it, not sure how accurate it is, etc. has a cap of 150 (my memory failed me there, lol) and it basically is used to determine if the kid taking it is academically gifted or not. So it's not as accurate as an IQ test, but roughly equivalent. It's called the OLSAT (Otis-Lennon school ability test).

I'll probably be able to remember my score if I think about it.
