Sorry, but this thread isn't going anywhere at all. Those who wish to learn about the Jewish faith or the origin of Hanukkah should consult an encyclopedia or some online resource. The thread is titled "Calling all Jews" and yet none of them have heard the call. It's just not possible to have an intelligent conversation in this way.
