And really, thats your problem. These "terroists" or Afgani Geurilla's, no matter how big or advanced your army is, they will always beat you. Just for one simple fact: Afghanistan is a large nation, and they know the lay of the land better then anyone else. Even with advanced sattelite imagery, they will knwo the land better then you. Its like if a army invaded your town. Sure thye might be better equipped then you, but who will know your town better?
Not only to mention, these geurilla's spent their entire lives fighting. They were made as cutthroat killing machines. They have no other purpose. And a democracy will never work there. You got so many fueding tribes in Afghanistan, you might as well either let them kill each other off, and help one of the tribes, and jsut make a dictatorship. Now this may sound wrong, but if you dont want a bunch of hit and run geurilla's attacking the nations around it, raiding it as if they were a bunch of barbarians, Then I would suggest you consolidate its power there. Democracy is a good idea, but it will not work for everything. And that's what I find, In my opinion, America fails to realize. Drive out the Taliban, and place a msot trustworthy tribe in its place. Afghanistan is too warlike to ever have a democracy. It's a simple fact.
