I understand that People become Vegans because they do not wish to harm animals, but is harming plants any different? Salads were once a living thing as well. Just because it doesn't scream and bleed when it does, doesn't mean it wasn't alive at some point.
Plants and animals are two fundamentally different groups of living things. Humans are not plants. Animals are not plants. Humans are a kind of animal.
They are a different kind of living thing and we HAVE to eat something.
Btw, some people think they can be vegetarians and still eat fish - how silly is that? >_>
We could eat what nature provides us with...Such as apples or something. We're not "killing" the plant, and we still live. Same with corn, wheat, etc.
Actually I think that is what vegans do. Personally I'm a vegetarian, but I do not reject to eat meat because it is dead animals or "similar to humans".
Nah, sorry, had to. I could eat a strictly vegetarian diet for a few days. Soybeans, salad, etc... there ARE Lacto-ovo vegetarians, who eat eggs and dairy products.
Oh, wait, offtopic. *Cough* I think some people go vegetarian to get healthier. We all know veggies are healthy, but meat just tastes so much better, thus, indulgence.
Or cultural reasons, maybe. I still don't fully understand people who do it for "animal rights." Animals eat other animals, humans are animals, etc... Of course, we eat them after slaughtering, vacuum-sealing, and cooking the animal, but still.
I think meat eaters are doing every one a favor because we eat cows, which give off gases which hurts the worlds o zone layer and plants turn most of the gases into good thing that we need like oxygen.
I always thought it was foolish - morality doesn't extend to instinct, and humans eat meat and plants due to our instinct. We're supposed to be omnivorous, and it isn't immoral to eat what we're designed to eat.
I'd say yes, but that would be a dissapointmentfor all your hard work
That implies that you were gunna say yes. *is disappointed*
Not natural to be vegetarian, though. You can choose to be, I really have no problem with that, but anyone who interferes with my meat is taking it a bit too far.
Vegans, however, bug me just a bit. You can't even drink milk? C'mon. What's up with that?
People who don't eat eggs because they think it "harms the chicken" are just stupid. If the chickens didn't lay those eggs, they'd die, so people who eat eggs are actually doing the chickens a favor.
I eat meat in hope of gaining some of the essence from the animal.I eat deer for speed, cows for...buffness, pigs for oinkness, and turkies for flight (they can fly).
^That might be true, don't judge me > <
Anyway, I don't care if they want to eat only veggies (and fish?), that means more meat for me. As long as they don't stare at my balefully when I chomp down on a burger.
