Hi all!

We've updating Colony to version 2.0 right now. Here will be the changes in the update:

New Buildings and Units

With the war in Athenia still raging on, all the governments have been pushed to develop new technologies. As casualties pile up, the Hospitals have been forced to upgrade into War Sanctums to cope with the number of bodies being rushed into Emergency Care every hour.

The Saint watches over the sky and proves a fearsome guardian over the city. New Far-Range sniper rifles have been developed to siege enemy forces from a great distance. The prototype android, A27-Pride is now in mass production to provide support fire.

New Game Mechanics

The game should run a little bit smoother now, and allow you to reach up to Rank 10 on multiplayer. A lot of rebalancing has been done on existing units, especially the Sakata and the Groditz. You can also now double click a unit to select all units of that type.

More Coming Soon!

I'm still working on an anti hack system, and the Fox server has been programmed into the game (we just don't have the server yet). Expect there to be a string of smaller updates throughout this week as we put in additional features little by little

Oh, and BTW, sprinter, there already is an upgrade for hospital, and it's solar grid.

I think he meant like, a buff to the hospital/war sanctum, solar grid/gneerator, and armories.

So far tier 3 is the highest we go.
I don't think Krin is planning a lot of big updates any soon.
Just waiting for an influence government...

sorry, i meant an upgrade for the war sanctum, and an upgrade for the solar grid

And no upgrade for treasury?

It could make sense if you had capitalist get upgrade to treasury, communmism get upgrade to war sanctum, and fascist get upgrade to solar grid. That would be quite a bit of new stuff though, and would make it so you'd really want to change govments based on whether you're doing ground or air, which would lead to situations where you have 2 people wanting to do the same and arguing about it because both are set up for one and not the other.

Tier four resource structure should give, possibly, 5 resources every 2 seconds.

I'm just waiting for the new influence government.

They could also just make it so that you get an extra 1 or 2 of said resource per 3 seconds without having a new building if you are the respective government. So like fascists would get 6 or 7 energy per 3 seconds from a solar grid instead of just 5.

You mean instead of four?
The influence government should give 7 money, 0 manpower and 3 energy per 5 seconds to go along with building spec ops.
Then, you should gain 3 influence instead of 2 from the building, and you gain double the influence for units on the field positions, and max influence becomes 200.

Yeah sorry I got the numbers mixed up. And yeah that would be interesting as far as an influence govt. It may almost be a bit OP though considering that some people can do ok with influence units as it is, and that would be a rather large upgrade to them.

Well, there could be a unit cap for a certain unit.
Too many prides = doom

the far snipers should stay pricy though as in numbers with a few sakatas they can ruin all ground units

It's always hard to mass influence units.
Prides own everything in numbers, except those with special armor and Sakatas :P
