This is a (hopefully) fresh take on the generic 'Apocalypse' RPGs.

Backstory:
The human race is finshed. Already decimated by a century long 8th World War, they were ill prepared for the spread of a terrible biological weapon. Crippled, they retreated to hidden underground forts, remaining there for hundreds of years in cryostasis. Awakening, they discover the planet has been taken over by a race of mysterious angel like creatures. These faceless creatures have a single minded mission: Destroy all life...

*Classes:

Freerunner - Bonus 2 Speed. Great at escaping from enemies, but rather fragile.
Inhuman - Bonus 2 Offence. Powerful ranged attacks, but low speed.
Combat Veteran - Bonus 1 Offence and Defence. Balanced, with good health.
Thief - Bonus 1 Speed and Defence. Excellent at finding food and hiding places, very low health.

**Abilities: You gain more as you level up.

Freerunner - Basic Supersprint. Enables you to move at double normal speed and jump farther for a short period of time
Inhuman - Basic Psy Power. Enables you to read minds (emotions only) and lift small objects with telekinesis.
Combat Veteran - Basic Survival Skills. Enables you to use the environment to your advantage.
Thief - Basic Lockpick. Enables you to open locked doors with tumbler locks.

*** Weapons: You can find better ones, but these are what you start out with.

Freerunner - Kitchen Knife. + 3 Offence
Inhuman - Psy Enhancer. + 1 Defence, + 2 Speed
Combat Veteran - AK-47. + 7 Offence, - 4 Speed
Thief - Camoflage Netting. Avoid fights. Can only be used once every day.

You here them rustling outside, but luckily they don't come inside. One of the assembled men says:
Scans show they're headed for the coast. We'll shadow them, and find out what they're up to.
The troops file out of the room by a different door, and you emerge out of a holographic metal plate. You shadow the angels along the city, and eventually arrive at the coast, where many, many Angels, with 20 odd Mosquitos, wait. You here a BOOM, and a great white... thing appears. It is at least 500m long, with gun emplacements and radar bowls studding it's sides. The Angels file in via a platform that juts out of the side. Suddenly, the gun emplacements erupt in an enormous volley, ripping into the city. Blue green energy beams as big as a bus rip through the air, creating huge explosions and great cascades of green fire. Within a few minutes, almost a third of the city has been leveled. You run to the base, and find it in a state of chaos. People are gathering possessions, equipment, and weapons, and cramming them into trucks and Jeeps. Your group arrives at the command post.
We have to get some intelligence on that ship! Colnel, get to that ship and get on it!!!

You run to a small hill, where you can still see the thing. Angels pour out of it, and swarm up the island. However, they don't make it very far... A horde of Water Spirits attacks the ship, destroying dishes and machinery. The angels double back, attacking the Spirits. Do you a) run to the cave of the Forest Spirit, or b) try and get on the ship?

You find her, and manage to escape the building as it collapses around you. The evac vehicles roar off into the night, and you join back up with the strike force. You sprint to the ship, which is pouring destruction into the city, now almost leveled to the ground. Skyscrapers crumble, and are pounded to dust before they touch the ground. Great swathes of the ghost town are blasted to atoms, with only dust and forks of St Elmo's fire swirling in it's wake. You climb into a jeep, and approch to the thing... Suddenly, there is an explosion, and the world flashes...

A mosquito, soaring overhead.
A man lying on the ground, still.
A severed hand lying in the destruction.
Two Angels approaching.
Five men charging at them.
Death.
Death.
Death.
Death.
Death.
A woman, screaming in rage.
Death.
The last two, running.
Death.
Death.
The girl, gets up, disorientated.
She raises a hand, points at the Mosquito.
A crunch, and a loud explosion.
The Angels continue their relentless march.
She raises a hand.
The Angels stop, and there is a hum.
The girl is blown off her feet by a blast of force.
You get up.
An angel turns to you, begins to march.
NOOOOOOOOOO! I won't let it end this way!
You draw your pistol, and fire 6 times. It's wings ragged and full of holes, and with one arm lacerated, it continues to march. It grabs you, and prepares a burst of electric death. You stab it with your knife, right under the head. It emits a horrible metallic scream and drops to the ground.
Impossible, you think. Angels don't die. Not from a knife.
The other one stops, scans you with it's eyes. It drops to one knee. The barrage of the city ceases, and quiet reigns.
The Angel stands, and speaks.

It picks up the unconcious girl, and starts moving towards the ship. Do you a) go with it, or b)run away?

You run to the cave, and escape to the central chamber. You hear a collosal explosion, and then more and more, echoing round the island, and dust falls from the ceiling. There is a flash of burning energy. You wake up, surrounded by an orb of green light. Angels swarm around it, firing beams of energy at it, only to be smashed aside like a child playing with toys by giant green tentacles. You come to your senses. You're INSIDE the Forest Spirit. Felicity and Sijid lie near you, and you wake them. The great ship is blasting the island apart with blasts of incredibly powerful destructive force. Eventually, the guns stop pelting the island, and the Angels swarm back to their ship. The guns start firing again, and one hits the Forest Spirit. There is a great moan, and it sinks into the ground. The Angels swarm out again, preparing to kill you. Suddenly, there is a roar, and thousands of green tentacles rise up from the ruined earth. Soon, hundreds upon hundreds of Forest Spirits have surrounded you. 8 of them float into the air, 7 of them arranging themselves in a circle around the other one. Beams of rainbow light roar out of the 7, hitting the 8th, whitch fires an enormous blast of white light at the ship. There is an enormous explosion, and the ship is utterly anhilliated. The Forest Spirits take to the air, and one absorbs you, Felicity, and Sinjid, carrying you into the clouds. You here a voice, whispering out of the Forest Spirit.

((( the dreamtime is almost spent, wandering one. people are disapperaing. even now we hear their screams. you must seek the aid of the spirits of the world, of sky, forest, mountain and water. only then will you escape... the trickster is coming, and those who stand in his way will perish)))

As these words are spoken, you see the spirits fading away, disapearing into the sky. Eventually all are gone, apart from the one who spoke to you. It soars across the sky, and you arrive at a point where you can see three regions: one, a mountainous, rocky place, another, a chain of miniscule islands, the third, an incredibly tall pillar that stretches through the clouds. Where do you travel to first?

You follow the Angel into the ship. It leads you through huge, airy rooms full of Angels sealed in blue pods, with a few tending to them, attaching tubes full of black liquid. The entire ship seems to be some sort of giant, semi living creature. Corridors mold themselves a few feet in fromt of you, and wires, on closer inspection, prove to be strands of some clear substance, though which swirls of grey liquid flow. Eventually, you arrive in an enormous chamber. Pillars of white light tower above you, into a white mist that forms the roof. Indistinct grey shadows flit about in the mist. The entire room seems to pulsate like some sort of giant heart. Ghostly cilia wave, and green blue lines line the walls. Siting at the end of this beautiful place is an Angel. But not just any Angel. Encased in beetle like black armour, with glowing red eyes, he nevertheless emanates a sense of stability and peace.

AH, NATSU. AT THE RISK OF SOUNDING CLICHED, I'VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU. IT'S NICE TO FINALLY MEET YOU IN... PERSON

AH. THAT IS A VERY, VERY LONG STORY.

He reaches out and grasps the side of your head.

You see space pods, flying from the depths.
You see them landing, and a hundred Angels step out.
They have no memory of who they are or what they are, so they settle, and wait for one thousand years.
They are a machine species, clockwork motors operating with quantum energy displacers to create a state of near perpetual motion.
But then, the planets owners emerge from their millenia long sleep, and they found themselves with an urge to kill, to smash and to destroy.
They try to stop themselves, but the urge is too strong. They exterminate any humans they see, on sight.
They remember their past, they were peaceful, not monsters.
But now they have found Him: the one of Chaos, of utter disorder.
What am I?
You are a being from our legends: One who can influence probability. When you come into contact with humans, you project bad luck.
You remember: The Freedom Knights, The Hidden, The Colnel and his men...
But, in times of stress, you emanate good luck onto yourself: the Angel you killed with a knife.
You are supposed to destroy everything around you: You are the pinnacle of the universe: Something which cannot be predicted.

He removes his hand.

TO US, YOU ARE A GOD.

He takes you to the bridge if the ship as it rises in to the air, and rains down fire on a defenceless city. You seem to have a standing with these creatures. Do you a) Order them to let you go, or b) stick around?
