This is a (hopefully) fresh take on the generic 'Apocalypse' RPGs.
Backstory: The human race is finshed. Already decimated by a century long 8th World War, they were ill prepared for the spread of a terrible biological weapon. Crippled, they retreated to hidden underground forts, remaining there for hundreds of years in cryostasis. Awakening, they discover the planet has been taken over by a race of mysterious angel like creatures. These faceless creatures have a single minded mission: Destroy all life...

You hurl a chunk of wall at it. It passes through the creature, but leaves grey blue marks. You try again, and this time it crumples to the ground. You hear a scream, and run to the source. A six year old girl is standing, frozen with fear, as she is approached by another beast. Before you can do anything, it grabs her. Her skin turns rust red, and her entire body distorts and fades into the creature's. It sighs, and turns towards you. Realizing that there must be many such creatures aboard the ship, you head for the airlock, where there is an escape pod. After about half a minute, you hear the screams stop. Do you a) take the left route, past the oxygen garden, or b) take the right route, past the bridge?
Level Up! Allocate two points between your stats.
New ability - Do you want:
Advanced Psy Power: Read minds, have stronger and more accomplished telekinesis.
Or Probability Affection: Alter the chance of things happening in your favour, and cause bad things to happen to your enemies. (Much more useful than it sounds)
You get some rest. Day ends After a while, the pilot wakes you up. We're nearly at the base. Oh, how could I forget. My name's Thanos. What's your's? You tell him. You arrive at your destination. At first, there seems to be nothing there. But, there is a hum and a flash, and suddenly you find yourself in a large hangar bay. Welcome to the Luna 7, kid. We're on the moon Mechanics rush up to the fighter, spraying with decontamination liquid and attatching power cables. But you can't get over the view from the large window to your south. The Earth is hanging there, like a blue gem. Thanos leaps down from the seat, jumping 5 metres into the air. Gravity's lighter here! C'mon, you give it a try. You jump, landing next to him. He smiles, and leads you to the central command room. Captain Thanos! an elderly man exclaims. Mission status? Complete, sir. All signs still point towards the Angel horde is moving towards the equator. I found this boy, sir. Take him to the spare quarters on Floor G. Dismissed. Yessir! You hurry away, and Thanos leads you down some corridors. You ask him what this place is. It's the last of the old lunar bases, and it's now the HQ of the Freedom Knights. Who are the... Freedom Knights? We are the last hope of humanity. All of the technology we once had, we're using to fight the Angels. We're tough, but we haven't got many people. There are 200 of us here, and about 50 on Earth. We travel by transmat here and there. You arrive at your quarters. I've gotta go write some reports. You settle in here. Thanos leaves, and you sit, bewildered, as you try to comprehend what has happened. Suddenly, there is and enormous explosion, and alarms blare across the base. You get up, and run back along the corridors. Arriving at the command room, a man shouts at you to get out - the place is exploding! You run for the evac ship, but it takes off without you. You notice a fighter craft sitting in a corner. You jump in, and hit the switch that says 'Autopilot'. You rocket out of the base just as it explodes... Then, you realise. Is this meant for space?
Long story short: Yes. You fly to the surface, crash landing in the middle of a city, some where in the ReUnited States. You crawl out of the wreck, and are about to try and salvage somthing when you hear footsteps. Do you a) hide, or b) confront the maker?
Unfortunately (stealth scales with Speed), they hear you and attack. One of the fires a flare into the sky before you shoot him. You hear a roar in the sky, and an enormous Angel ship, shaped like a conch shell, descends. It fires lances of energy down, smashing into your encampment and destroying the truck. You manage to survive by diving to the ground underneath a heavy rock. You still lose 30% health and your gun. You manage to scavenge 2 sustenance and 2 fuel from the ruins, and stagger out of the desert. After 18 hours of wandering, you arrive in the Tech Wasteland, a huge area of discarded technology from the Human Era. Amazingly, you find a still working motorbike. Do you a) continue through the wastelands, or b) look for stuff where you are and make camp.
You find a Katana (Offense + 5, Speed + 1), and replace your sword. You then travel on. You arrive at a small lake, surrounded by trees. You sit for a while, contempllating your next move. You notice fish in the lake and fruit in the trees. You explore the water's edge, and find a Flint. Now you can start fires. You also find a cave, hidden from sky and land based eyes by a thick clump of trees. It has a reasonably small entranceway, which could defended easily. Do you a) stay here, or b) continue onwards?
You hide under a scrap car, and the footsteps reveal themselves to be an Angel, who looks at the wreck. He stomps off, and you crawl out. You explore the city and find a Pulse Pistol (Offense + 5) and two power cells. cells. You climb to the top of a huge, rusty statue and gaze out upon the city. To the right are the once pround homes of the rich, mostly still standing but badly damaged, and two the left is the business district. Where do you wanna go?
You run past the bridge, unfortunately attaracting 2 glutted spirits. You arrive at the airlock, but realise you won't have time to escape. You concentrate, and begin to seal the enormous metal door shut. Do you complete it in time... Pick a number between 1 and 7.
You make camp for the night, and in the morning, you decide to try and catch some fish. Do you a try and construct a fishing rod, b) Try and consruct a fishing rod, or c) use your Katana?
You find 4 power cells, and 7 sustenance. You settle down for the night, and hear nothing. Note: (Power cells are your ammo).
However, in the morning, you hear the sound of booted feet. You jump up, and skulk behind a car. Two men appear, both holding shotguns. They are holding a sack, which wriggles occasionally as they talk. The Masters will reward us well! We captured the girl, and tracked the human to here! Yes, but they won't be pleased when they find we lost his tracks... Fan out. I'll take the girl, and investigate that building. He points to the one that you were camping in. You take that building.
