Have you ever stopped and took the time to read the Bible? I have, and I hae found a major/minor flaw. The flaw was suprising to me at first.

The first flaw states:
(This is a summary, it is not an exact quote) "God created LIGHT and night on the 2nd day"

"God created th SUN on the 4th day.

------
How can you creat light the first day and then the sun on the fourh?

Human error in writing and that is speculation on how things began. There's no way that people would know what god created first or last. Second, the whole bible is a flaw, it was written by man, selected by man, retold by man, until it's just what people want to hear. Look at all the different versions of the bible.

dude your dumb as fuck.... its not just the bible that sais that. thats the old testement not only do christians have it but muslems and jews have it to.

dont be a hater.. of course theres going to be error. theres error in everything, even scientoligy. because they should know that there is error to be calculated in everything.

of course theres going to be human error. and you can create day without a sun... stupid. have you seen the universe? all you need is light.. and in my elief and i repeat MY belief (dont you dar hate on this statement) god created light by him self... for heavens sake.. hes god. he can do everything

Says the fellow with atrocious spelling and grammar.

Second, the whole bible is a flaw

Well that's not entirely fair. I mean it's well written at very least, if not true or terribly interesting.

Maybe it's not entirely fair. It does have virtues and morals that are good to follow whether or not you are religious. But in the since of a religious book, it is one big flaw, expecially when that religion says no person can be perfect, thus when written by man, it defines itself as flawed.

Genesis 1:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morningâ"the first day.

Obviously you are very bad at reading.

As to muslims having the old testament, you are completely wrong. The bible says that Jews are Jehovah's chosen people, yet muslims hate them very much. Muslims learn from the Koran that to kill a brother muslim is to burn in hell but to kill an infidel is just fine as opposed to the fairly simple "Thou shalt not kill." Muslims belive that the Old and New Testaments are both corrupted and pick and choose certain things which thier own religion agrees with.

The exact same thing happend with the making of the bible. There were hundred of different books that the romans sifted through and compile until it fit their beliefs and religious ideals.

Cincinnatus was referring to this passage when compared to the one you provided.

Gensis 1:14-19
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Why is it a concern to me? It just seems a tad hypocritical to call someone else a 'dumb ****' when you can barely put a sentence together without making a mistake every other word. Besides, read the forum guide - people won't take you very seriously if you're incapable of crafting a legible post.

Are you saying God would need to sun to know how many days it has been? That's just how we tell days apart, and we weren't even around until the sixth day.

On a seperate note, I agree with HiddenDistance: spelling and grammar are very important. If you make a mistaek like that once in a while it's understandable, btu wen U takl liek yer onn krak like that, it's distracting and detracts from the inital point.

sometimes the words in the bible are not exactly right in english because it was originally written in a different language thousands of years ago, the translation isn't always exactly right. nice try

If we can't rely on the translation, how can we take anything that is written in it seriously?

God created light on the 21stday. God created the sun on the 4th day. The sun was obviously not the first light. Maybe the 1st day light refers to the Big Bang.

Sigh.

The Big Bang says poof everything exists in a few seconds. Light is not a huge (fake) explosion that suddenly makes the universe exist.
