I was thinking, how could a government be reorganized to make it suit both the needs of itself and the needs of its people? Would it take it upon itself and help everyone in its borders, despite the enormous cost and potential economic disaster that could arise? Or would it minds its own and leave the people in the cold?

Or would it separate the two, and have divisions for one and the other? Or would it combine the two into one single entity?

Ah, but everyone in a country's borders don't necessarily belong there.

I don't know how you could fulfil everyone's needs. I guess you could start by asking the people what they want. They would tell you a lot of extreme things that you wouldn't be able to uphold, then they'd be mad. Ha, you can never please the people.

It's a difficult task to accurately represent everyone's views, especially in a country with so many people. However, I think that having more elected officials and more frequent elections would help out a bit. If the country was divided into many smaller districts (smaller than counties), and each voted for someone to directly represent them, I think that there could possibly be less tension between people and the government. Right now, there are a few people in the national government with the job of representing a ton of people in the country. It needs to be more proportionate; ideally, everyone could represent themselves. More frequent elections would allow the officials to change as the ideals of the people change.

Majority rule is another system that, ideally, could be perfected. I've tried to create a better system, but I don't think it can be perfected any more than it already is though. Unless people become more willing to compromise, we're gonna have to deal with the majority rule system for a very long time, though.

Council of 8 would be perfect. A council runs much better than 1 person. That is for president, of course.

Ah, but you don't want ties, so it has to be an odd number.

8 people to represent the country?

The simple answer is, no. There is no way you can serve the needs of both parties to full extent at once. Now what I mean by that is that, there will always be someone somewhere who disagrees with the way things are being done or held.

There is simply no way you can have the government serve it's own needs to full extent and those of the people. Sacrifices have to be made, and are continuously made. Some for the people, some for the government.

That's the way it works, no other way around it.

That's why in the U.S. we have 2 senators from every state to elect into The Upper House. They represent the desires of the people of that state. These are considered districts of a country. We also have 1-55 representatives to be elected to The Lower House based on the state's population who also represent the desires of the people.

Council of 8 would be perfect. A council runs much better than 1 person. That is for president, of course.

The Two Houses run just like a council ; they discuss certain procedures, propose bills, and vote on them and everything else. Together, they have the most power of the three branches, but not all of it, for many reasons.

How much more could you possible need...? What good are more senators and representatives in legislation? More votes? There are 100 senators and 435 (give or take) members of the house currently. Really, the only thing that would be different with more members would be more votes. And less paycheck amounts for those employed. That would have less of an impact on those that want to be a senator.

The WESTERN World

or all the world.... we are now a global economy if you havent heard.

i think our system is working just fine. the only thing i would change would be lessen the amount of bribing, and self promotion done in the government. That is whats really screwing us over.

I'd like each state to be divided into small districts (of a couple thousand people), and within those districts you vote for representation. Since there are less people, theoretically, the person should be able to be a better representative. Of course, my plan isn't feasible in a country so large.
