Hey, after reading a few posts, I was appalled by how many people on AG shut out science for the mere fact that they don't like it. I'm not talking just about the super-religious people, I've also seen a few people who said no to science just because they could.
They didn't listen or pay attention to any evidence or sources brought forward, and they did not use vocabulary correctly. They claimed something wasn't true at all and that it's impossible to figure out what happened, "B cuz i wusn't there lololololololol" They were flaming, flaming, trolling, trolling, knowledge haters. Just flat out haters. I'm tired of these people, you know?
Please, share your thoughts on this.

basicly, science and religion is both faulty.

Where are the faults in science?

And well science just isnt apart of that.

There's scarcely a person on the planet that isn't effected by science. Do you eat food, drink clean water? Have you ever received a vaccination or medical care? You clearly just posted on the internet. Ever used a telephone, or taken a ride in a car? Even on a horse with a saddle - that's science. Worn clothes? Even people in the worst conditions on the planet make use some kind of science and tools to fish, or toil in fields; mine for diamonds. I could keep going, but hopefully you get the point.

That's why asked jaza if he believed in technology.
Definition of technology Industrial science; the science of systematic knowledge of the industrial arts, especially of the more important manufactures, as spinning, weaving, metallurgy, etc.

Technology is science, everything we use is science.

how did life 1st come to exsist then? explain that with science.

It's called abiogenesis. We already have lab results that show it as a capable, plausible occurence for the origins of life.

Care to explain the first atoms/mass to me?

That was one of the only points I couldn't explain when I went through my "atheist-only logic" phase, thinking that if the atoms were just 'always there' that sounds a lot like God, and that if they just randomly showed up, I would rather believe in a God that made them so.

you shown that RNA can be made, but you need more then that to make life dummy.

*shrugs*

Beats me. There's a bunch of theories floating around. Astrophysics is some pretty cool stuff, but there are a number of dissenting views on how it all began. One of the ones you mentioned - that our universe is, has, and always will be here in some shape or form. Others is that it's a splinter of another universe, or that it all started with 'a' particle. They're still looking for conclusive answers though, and for more evidence to support their own working hypotheses. At the moment I don't think there's a definitive scientific answer for the origins of the universe - but some day there will be.

In the meantime, I don't feel the need to fill up the hole in our collective knowledge with something that is quite clearly rubbish.

Not really. RNA is a major role in DNA synthesis. As long as their are nucleotides around, RNA will pretty much start pumping out DNA, which will start creating proteins, and so on.

-sighs- i could spend hours argueing with people who studies science.

And that's what it all generally boils down too. We don't know the if there really is a God, as nobody has met him. There could be life out on other planets in other solar systems, but just because we haven't seen or met them doesn't make them any less real. And the whole reason for that question in the first place was to show an example of a 'fault' in science.

And regarding the 'a particle' theory, that particle had to come from somewhere, does it not? I'm sure some day we'll find out exactly, whether it be a God or some other method that can create something out of nothing repeatedly, but until then I'm going to keep believing that a God created the universe, and science is just how that universe works. For all we know, God could have used evolution, but we don't know as we weren't there. So yes, I could just be blindly believing in God, but how is that any different than believing in any other theory?

We can get DNA from RNA, so once you have RNA forming it's not a huge step to get DNA.

ok, so you got dna, but don't you need some other things? like say, a cell membrane.

The DNA is in charge of producing amino acids. The cell membrane is made of proteins, made of amino acids. The DNA sends out the info for the specific amino acids to be made, creating the right proteins, which in turn join together, and you get your cell membrane.
