Hey, after reading a few posts, I was appalled by how many people on AG shut out science for the mere fact that they don't like it. I'm not talking just about the super-religious people, I've also seen a few people who said no to science just because they could.
They didn't listen or pay attention to any evidence or sources brought forward, and they did not use vocabulary correctly. They claimed something wasn't true at all and that it's impossible to figure out what happened, "B cuz i wusn't there lololololololol" They were flaming, flaming, trolling, trolling, knowledge haters. Just flat out haters. I'm tired of these people, you know?
Please, share your thoughts on this.

Nonetheless magic does exist.

It's completely irrational but it exists? Wow just wow...

everyone knows that the tiny baby Jesus in his golden fleece diaper created the dinosaurs so the people could have their faith tested and be inspired to make such amazing things as dinosaur-shaped cereal and Jurassic park. and all that overwhelming, insurmountable empirical evidence to the contrary can suck my open-minded balls. lol. i can't keep that up for long.

I love teh science.

The bible has magic in it. Science has no magic attributed to it.

but it is completely irrational and does not test it's theories and has no logic whatsoever.

Facepalm.

Science is made up of theories! And theories have been tested! You are an ignorant devout Christian who probably hasn't seen the world outside the walls of your local church (that's a metaphor, mind you.)

Christianity explains EVERYTHING. It's rational to know science is ignorance.

You mean it explains NOTHING. It's a dead man's unproven idea of how things came to be and will come to be.

I'm not talking to you smart one. I'm talking to GodsHolyKnight who thinks Christianity is everything.

Besides, why don't you shut your mouth Sonicheroes? After you said that magic explains everything, you made a whole mess out of this topic and now look where it is. Good discussion, made into a topic practically about people starting to think that Harry Potter might be real (almost, some people really do believe in magic that doesn't exist.)

ok magic is for little nerds or either young kids who have that big imagination which is ok for them (but not nerds!) and science doesnt explain how the world came to be. Such as the big bang theory. It sounds like something a man said just to be remembered. People used to think the world was flat so maybe one day people will stop thinking science can expalin it all. Science is just such a boring way of looking at life. And all it explains in my point of view is DNA and microscopic details

Science is what makes up the universe and everything in it! What does religion explain? How to have faith in a god that may not even exist. Where is that going to get us? Nowhere. If the earth is threatened with destruction, how do we know that God will save those who are loyal? Your not guaranteed. You've been assured that living a good and faithful life will yield salvation but there is no guarantee. And if you're not guaranteed, I guess your just as screwed as everyone else when the world collapses in on it self.

Uh, yeah, pretty much. Users seem to want to talk about magic now more then they do about what the thread was made to talk about.

Haha, and you aren't guaranteed that hell isn't real, but atleast if it isn't I won't care.

That's a very pessimistic mentality to be having. I think you need to go see a psychiatrist, you express all the symptoms.
