So. What team are YOU on? Personally, I'm on Team Eragon. Know Why? Cuz on Team Potter, their argument is tht they can cast spellz. On Team Twilight, its all about how awesome vampire's physical abilities are. But Eragon has those physical abilities AND can cast spells SO WHAT NOW!
P.S. How do you post pics?
P.P.S. I would like it if there were some pics with your posts too guys!
I think that ALL the movies made from those books were BAD! (The HP movies weren't as bad as the other two though...)
The later HP books were good, although the ending was unsatisfying.
The Twilight books...just no. The first one was good, I loved it at first. The second and third books, however, I thought were about the same as the first. The only reason I liked the last book was because it wasn't the same. And they tear the bedroom up when they get dirty. =]
The Eragon books were really good, actually. I have yet to read the 3rd book, though. I loved the first two. The movie, though, ruined it for me. The movie was completely horrible, they left so much out of it.
I love the Harry Potter series, and have been reading them since the first book came out way back in the day. I appreciate that as the series went on, the story lines became more complex, and the characters grew up as the kids who were reading the books did as well. It is nice when a book evolves along with the audience. Plus, I think they have done an amazing job with the movies. Can't wait for the next one! =)
I have also read the entire Eragon series recently, and I really enjoyed it. Although not all of the ideas are incredibly original, the books are well written. And it is such an accomplishment for such a young author. I am looking forward to the 4th book, although it doesn't seem like it will be fast in coming ;-P
And... somewhat unfortunately, I have also read the Twilight series. I can't seem to start series and not read all of the books in it. Which is what I wish I had done with the series. The characters are emotionally shallow, descriptions are repetitive, and the story itself is just weak. Lets face it, neither of the characters have a personality that is anywhere to be found. And as to why anyone is interested in the personality-lacking Bella, which every guy in the book seems to be, is beyond me. And the movies are even worse than the books. They are pretty painful to sit through. And I wish I could get the time and money I spend watching them back. Ugh.
So I guess I am all for Potter and Eragon. But really NOT Twilight.
