Is cussing allowed if you put an *?

Example: F*** you.

Don't get me banned, I'm just asking.

Technically, no cussing period is allowed. However, certain cases are not as not allowed, although you should refrain from cursing if at all possible.

I only ever use one disallowed word myself, unless I'm in an RPG or something along those lines.

It's allowed to cuss a bit, but its better trying to avoid it when you can and also you should try not overdo it.

Citation needed. Armor Games prohibits excessive cussing.

The method GrimX999 (can I call you Grim?) has outlined (Id Est F***) seems to me to be an acceptable way of showing which swear was used while not offending too much.

Good point. I assumed that he would only use "F*** you" in the context of a story or something similar. For the record, Graham with a capital G similar to Xzeno's capital X is correct: Flaming is never acceptable, with cussing or without cussing.

Well, I would only sware when making a story or RPG like people have said, but if you're flaming, trolling, or basically insulting anyone with a swear word, then I don't consider that to be acceptable.

Good Example:
He told the man, "You lazy Bas***d!"

Bad Example:
You know what, just because you think women deserve rights doesn't mean your a self proclaimed hero, you egomaniacal son of a b****

Well, technically, neither of them are considered to be good or bad, they're both supposed to be horrible and immoral, if you're the type of person to look at it like that.

Just try not to offend anyone, that's the main reason swaring is not allowed.

As long as you as a person are trying to do it right without hurting or offending anyone, it's fine with me (and with AG I'm sure) but it all depends on 'how you bring it' and then... comes the basic problem with this...

If it's directly written towards a person in particular it's possibly offensive, unless it's written in a 'fun-related-comment-kind-of-way' which would (normally) mean that the person where it's directed to would immediately understand what the other person is saying without being offended...
However if another (third) person would read that same comment and is offended by what it says, a new problem could be created without it being the intention of the writer in the first place...

It all comes down to this basic principal... Try to avoid cursing alltogether and think about what your writings or comments on any subject is going to cause before you do it... this is always the best solution in any situation if you ask me!

And what's most important of all... if you accidentally offended anyone, apologize to him/her... SINCERELY!

Moderators have stated multiple times that cussing is not allowed in any state. However, letting a curse slip here and there won't get you in huge trouble. Just watch yourself and try to only curse when you feel it adds to the dynamics of your post (within reason, of course).

Reading the notice made by Strip himself will answer all your questions about cussing

There were many times where I wanted to add a couple swears in my story, but...just wouldn't look right with it being replaced with stars. There are some moments where it's justified, and others where it is sometimes needed.

But if you HAVE to cuss, replace the majority with *'s..... you B******
