They will make a new pokemon series once a new handheld console comes out. Who knows when THAT will be... And if Gamefreak does make a new pokemon game...they'll really be grasping for new ideas.
You do understand that the new pokemon will probably look like stuffed animals, chairs, UFO's (oh wait...), Washing machines (oh wait... no... seriously?! THEY HAVE THAT?!), Boots, and everything but regular looking fantasy creatures.
Any sort of object/creature that can have a pun for really. But after 500 or so of them made, they are going to start thinking harder for their variety streak to continue.

They have to use *gasp* FAKEMON! Because a lot of artists actually have rather good ideas to new types of evolutions and new pokemon... More original than the 4th generation...

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver come in spring (already released in Japan, Nintendo is just translating it now). Basically Gold and Silver re-makes. Needless to say, I'm excited.

I dont like the newer pokemon. the old ones were the best and mosst creative. i hope for the remakes they stay with the old pokemon but just improve the game system. they should have kept the cheat from red and green version though.
